no you arent alone....even the most amazing faithful adn devoted peopel question why me god what is ti i am supposed to do ....why me...soudn similar...everyone has those times.......

my plans were when i was younger to go help kids and people in war torn countries ...to travel, not to have children on my own had no interest in boys......so i joined the navy debs plans on track... serve and protect on its way......i was so happy so excited i was bouncing couldnt wait.....got off the bus first day lined up and the petty officer said i would like to make a mention to the highest iq of the intakes this year .....said how brilliant i was......people should sit behind me in the tests he mucked around and smiled at me, he didnt mean to set me up, he was joking around and he respected my intelligence i guess...... but it set something in motion....he offered me red rope)posistion fo authority) have alway sbeen a team player..... i declined red rope.......it was too late....when you are praised in front of a group of people there are two types of people....some will respect you and think its cool .....(i would belong to that group i love hearing success)...then you have the group that set out to take you down.......and so my plans were short lived........

i believe god has always had a plan for me and maybe the navy wasnt right for me anyway..i am a pacifist....lol.....i have just found a team which will support and help me reach out....share some hope.......and how try every day to live the truth what is right...some times fail and happily admit its a keep trying thing...we are all human right.......that team is part of a church i love and they are world wide.......they are team players and i finally found home base.......took me a while...smilin.......my life is still the same....still have trials

my plan to have no children i was vehemently opposed to havign my own children i had a very strong fear of getting intimate with any man........i have five children by the way ......and three grandchildren....and i am glad i did...funny that......

you never know what the plan is completely but if you listen to yoru heart and you pray...some how some way....god will guide if you listen...and if you are like me block your ears now and again, pretend not to hear..... and find it hard to understand dont feel alone........we all get there at one time or another.......good luck...deb

Here are some good Bible verses:

"Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord ’s purpose that prevails." (Proverbs 19:21 NIV)

"In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." (Proverbs 16:9 NIV)

"Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps. Discipline me, Lord, but only in due measure—not in your anger, or you will reduce me to nothing." (Jeremiah 10:23, 24 NIV)

"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain." (Psalm 127:1 NIV)

"There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death." (Proverbs 14:12 NIV)

"A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart." (Proverbs 21:2 NIV)

You are asking questions that are extremely important. They are signs that you are sincerely seeking the heart of God and not your own agenda guised in religious-speak. I suggest prayer. The Bible says that God reveals his "secrets" to those who "fear" him--not to those who are smart, well-dressed, or good in business. It is through prayer that God will reveal these things to you. Be aware that, if it's the true revelation of God, it will probably contradict much of what the world follows and even most of the church will question you or think you're on the wrong course. In the same way Jesus was looked down upon by the "chosen people" of the time. He was even considered "accursed" by God.

OP, you're not alone.

I don't think we always know what God's will is for us with extreme clarity. It's not like a guidebook for life just falls out of the sky and tells us what to do. :o Sometimes, through prayer, we're led in a certain direction.

I recommend praying for wisdom, having the strength to make decisions (even though they feel difficult sometimes), and, most importantly, having the patience to wait until you know God is leading your decisions.

I think reading the Bible is one of the best ways to know if what you are doing is in compliance with God's plan. Also, prayer, but be aware that what happens in our life and the people that come into our lives are not necessarily God's will. I think it's important to evaluate if what you are doing and who you are seeing is in compliance with God's will through looking at what He has provided us through His word (the Bible). I know several people who have been led astray thinking that God brought this person into my life, so He must want me to be with him. Not always the case. I'd suggest reading your Bible for the answers so you will have more clarity. As an example, my sister was dating this man who she thought God must have brought into her life so she was thinking about a permanent relationship with him. The thing is, he was involved with some things that were definitely not God's will, and tried to get my sister involved in them as well. He was definitely not an answer to her prayers. Just because someone comes into your life after prayer doesn't mean that person was meant by God to be your partner. The Bible sets forth very clearly what type of person would be God's plan for you. Don't ignore that. The times I have gone through with my own will against the teachings of the Bible, were the times I got burned. So I would suggest reading it, and pray about it, and from those two things you will get your answer. You need to do both.

Pray foremostly and truly. Listen to Sermons and read The Bible. These are the only differences which can count along your journey. Never get into the mind frame that the questions will in fact stop and you will know it all.

Let God be and He will walk with you. It is unmistakable. Seek peace.

Take care,

You guys are awsome, you opinions are great! Thanks...

It is good that you are asking questions.

I was thinking about this thread yesterday whilst watching Machine Gun Preacher.. again. Putting aside the fact that Gerard Bulter looked pretty hot in terms of his total body shape, the latter part off the film touched on God having a plan. I don't know if the man still is a Christian to this day but he reached a point whereby he fully embraced that he was not able to control life and fully embraced the struggles.

Personally I think this is all we can do within an acknowledment that really we may never benefit directly from the things we do here. That level off faith, to serve the Kingdom of God will bring about nearness to the Kingdom, for it is within us if we follow our calling.

So, whatever it is you are good at, do it purely. Whoever you love, pray together. How you give your time, pray each morning and night that you can be relevant to those around you, truly. I do believe that our outward prayers build and our souls then become able to pray as a true partaker of the Kingdom of God. Some are aware off this element off the soul praying, some not. I think this happens whether we are able to decipher the deeper secrets off faith or not, it is a heart calling to grow closer and be a channel for goodness, to each other, to nature. It's about feeding this build up with positive actions which are about truly wanting to be nearer to God. From such moments the paths become narrower such that you do not have to question too harshly where you are going or who you are traveling alongside. Peace can then reign.

Well, that's what I do anyway and things always seem to work out. I mean my partner was not a Christian but saw for himself early in our relationship via our praying together. My work life has been ridiculously beneficial to many people and really helped me grow up. I can no longer have children but have room in my heart for two more children. Currently a family member and a friend of hers who I get on really well with are both moving to be nearer to me, hence I will have two babies in my life.

Not saying it is just about getting what you want but rather I have found that all that matters is being honest at points such as what you are going through and the answers come. Our prayer time and how it builds and affects us is the key. There is something linked to spirit, imagination and creation which comes alive when we pray truly. I reckon this is the formula to life itself.

Look to Jesus and admit all doubts and any preconceptions you may have about God or how you think you are 'supposed' to live. I would also advise baptism and receiving The Holy Spirit. I sense that faith can become a celebral act if we are not careful but it is better to follow literally because the Kingdom is real. Once that is determined (for me I had to know), there isn't a thing that can hinder you, especially even those who have no connection to love.

Take care,

Eve x

God's will has always been to respect the "Law Of Free Will" on all human beings. God and his divine representatives will never violate your free will. ONLY dark forces and evil spirits or good spirits masquerading as Ascended Hosts or Masters, the holy spirit and the lord himself will influence you to violate your free will. Note this difference and so you can discern properly who are the agents for god and who are the agents from the Prince of this World.

Having said that, Jesus always said that the Kingdom of God is within all of us. He meant that we all have the divine connection that he had with God the creator for his wisdom and his discernment, because we do not need to judge. God will help us discern through what we know now as intuition or "gut feeling".

This world is filled with a lot of fear, because the Prince of this World seek to influence you to violate your free will through many means possible. The use of fear is effective because it brings us to a lower state of consciousness, which is the opposite of what Jesus Christ wants us to transcend from.

Jesus Christ thought us to love and yet, the bible has references to "FEAR" of God. As far as I know, "FEAR" and "LOVE" are 2 incompatible emotions.

Having said that, you are supposed to serve your "OWN" Divine Plan for this world. Which is why your plan differs from my plan and others.

Remember that God and no human beings can violate the free will of others if you want to ascend and follow god's will. This is the law. If someone is violating your free will, then it is your right to question their motives.

Every one follows their calling because it is their will to do so and not dictated or influenced by any beings, be it in the physical world or in the psychic realm.

Especially in the Psychic realm where good and dark spirits are abound that they had not attained Christ consciousness and seek to influence people like yourself who see psychics, mediums and play Tarot cards to incessantly confuse their victims into believing that they are or are not following God's plan under the disguises of God's representatives of Arch angels, Ascended Hosts and so forth through mass media. Why? Because these beings are afraid that you might discover your true identity and your true discernment with God and so they will keep dangling that carrot in front of you.

A good measure if you're following god's will is that, as you follow and attain Christ consciousness other things shall be added onto you and multiplied. Read the Parable of the Talents.

Blessings.

Wanna make God Laugh..Tell him your plans.

Its really that simple. Thru time and thru much dedication I have found that I have a minuscule amount of empowerment on my own. It is thru God that I am lead and it is thru God I shall return. Think about it and let things go that are really not within the grand scheme of things. 'Thy will be done" , not mine as has been a mantra that seems befitting here.

I stopped wanting "things" for myself and instead prayed for more important things and people...its made all the difference.

of course you arent alone Introvert. In church we are raised up to stifle our hearts desires and to await the Lord's direction. In case no one has informed you yet, you wont get an obvious, thundering, flaming bush voice. You're just not gonna get that. Where we get confused is the part where we take counsel from church elders "in the meantime". You need your own plan for your life, and just trust that God is with you man. If you don't come up with your own plan someone is going to come up with one for you...and I dont mean God. I mean church folk. People who claim to know everything...

Just do what you most want to do. You were given the great desires you were given for a reason.

While the previous 2 posts are partially correct, here is the bigger truth:

The reason why "finding God's will" doesn't matter is because we aren't here to do/achieve things; we are here to BECOME a particular person. If God frustrates and thwarts your plans, yet you become purified and more conformed to Jesus, then it was for the best. On the flipside, if God seems to give you everything you want and even "blesses" you (or so it would seem), yet you become more self-centered and less like Jesus, your blessings are truly curses.

I think we're here to become, and to do. This life isn't just about us...we're here to help God fulfill a plan, which includes doing things for others, imo.

"The problem is we think He's going to tell us the wonderful plan BEFORE it unfolds. We feel like we can know - and NEED to know - what God wants every step of the way. But such preoccupation with finding God's will, as well-intentioned as the desire may be, is more folly than freedom.

The better way is the biblical way: Seek FIRST the kingdom of God, then trust that He will take care of our needs, even before we know what they are and where we're going."

God should have thought of that when Adam ate the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge.

We mortals aren't puppets with strings on us, although some religious fanatics wish we were.
