Bellybutton piercing info

Recommended Posts

Hey, I'm considering getting my bellybutton pierced for my fifteenth birthday (If the age limit isn't over that) but I want to make sure I'm not going to regret it before I get it done. First of all, I've heard that if you get it done when you are a younger teen then it will be stretched and ugly when you are older. I'd really like to hear from someone who got it done around my age and has had it for a few years. I'm also wondering if you have to wear it constantly after it has healed and what it looks like if you don't have it in. I've heard there are risks that piercing the naval could cause problems with fertility, which seems odd to me, but I figure I may as well ask and not risk it. Also, what exactly does it mean to say that it migrates, and is there a way to prevent or to know if it will happen with you? If anyone can answer my questions or has photos or anything, please let me know here, and I'll give you my e-mail for photos of maybe the hole when there isn't a ring in. Thanks!

I got my bellybutton pierced at 15 actually and did not take it off until I turned 18 or 19. It did not change, it always looked cute :p

When I first got it done I think I did not take it off for about two weeks then I changed it for another ring. After about 1 year I could take it off for days and it would not close. You do have to keep it clean though because if not it will get infected and I hear that's a B*TCH!!! My ear got infected when I got it pierced on the top and it hurted like a B*TCH!!!! When you don't have your ring in you can tell where it's pierced but it's not a big hole or anything. The only thing is that you will have a tiny scar after you don't want it anymore. I still have a tinsu weensy scar, but it's ok, does not look bad.
