vla1120 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 This time last week, I was devastated and could not stop crying. Then, I took the step of getting my own apartment so I would stop being his financial doormat. I move into my new apartment on 10/9. This step for me was huge! I'm excited to be moving on after all these years of frustration and, at times, sheer hell. I measure success in small bouts of happiness, with or without a significant other. Hell, I may never have a significant other again, since I will find it very hard to trust again, so I'll have to be happy with my own little personal successes for the time being - and I am!
