Merin
What are we talking about shaving?
Kat
Shave = good. Just keep it up Stuble is not good
marie337
I prefer neatly trimmed. Of course, my husband is quite hairy all over so he would look funny completely shaved. If you go for it though, be sure to shave everyday. It will really cut down on the discomfort for you if you make it a daily habit. I've been shaving everyday for like 5 years and it just becomes a habit.
billswife
Shaved, trimmed...its all good. As long as there isn't a forest down there. She doesn't want to feel like she's flossing every time she goes downtown. BTW...it makes the man parts look bigger.

I didn't get the impression the original poster was talking about shaving his FACE A good brand new razor, lot's of moisturizing shaving cream and warm water.. you're good to go. Is it worth it... depends on how much it's worth it to you for your wife to be alllllllll about it
tattoomytoe
start with an electric for the main bush, then go with a ladies razor, they are usually a little better at preventing nicks. do not use nair though....that is very sensative skin and it will more than likely irritate it and give you a rash ! FolderWife
I wouldn't/couldn't go down on hubby until he shaved. I wasn't willing to choke on pubic hair It was worth it to him...I love the smooth skin feeling So yeah, definately do it...I don't think you'll regret it
Spira
Shaving is no big deal. Take the plunge - if you don't like it, it will grow back. It's not as bad as you think. But, yeah. NEVER use Nair on your pubic area. I made the mistake of disregarding this warning on the bottle once and my crotch burned for the rest of the day. LOL!
Queen B
Nair actually makes a bikini product that's for the more sensitive skin around a person's genitals. I've used it and I didn't get the burning....but the smell was gross and the results weren't stellar tho. I love it when my guy shaves...it makes oral sex so much more pleasant. If your wife has asked you to do it she finds it sexy and you'll probably reap plenty of sexual benefits.
MWC_LifeBeginsAt40
surprise her with a basket of goodies in the bedroom: razor, shaving cream, a basin of warm water and for afterwards, a "roomtemperature" bottle of whipped cream (for you).
billybadass36
OH my god. I used Nair once when I was younger. Holy hell, did it burn like.....hell. I was incapacitated, lying on my back with cold wet towels on the area for the rest of the day. I now shave the area like once a week. It's fun for me and for my gf.
EC
OH my god. I used Nair once when I was younger. Holy hell, did it burn like.....hell. I was incapacitated, lying on my back with cold wet towels on the area for the rest of the day. I now shave the area like once a week. It's fun for me and for my gf. LMAO I so know the feeling. Like I have said before I have atopic dermatitis (really sensitive skin) and I was 13 and wanted to shave (before I knew I had such sensitive skin) and my mother didnt want me to use razors so she bought me nair and I put that stuff on like mud. I was so excited... OMG Incapacitated is not the word...after 3 mins I was screaming and crying and yelling "take it off take it off mommy please.." LMAO My legs were red for three days and I had patches of red bumps everywhere. Not cool never again.
nighthawk
Use an electric Beard Trimmer. It is safer and give not rough stuble. Just set it to the lowest setting. You also don't have to worry about infections, rash, etc.
Mr Spock
I like trimmed on men, not bald, I had an ex that shaved bare it made me feel pedophilic.
VirginiaBob
Oh, gosh, I wish my biggest problem in life was that I was contemplating whether or not to shave my pubic hairs so that a woman can give me better blow jobs. Oh woe is you! Give us all a break and talk about something relevant and that is actually a real issue.
Mr Spock
for a moment I read "rectal issue" and this post just got way interesting.
mr314man
I keep 'the boys' shaved. I do it once a week. I trim the bush with trimming shears. Its actually easy once you get the -hang- of it. Here's what I use: 1- a major drugstore chain sells these "safety razors" that kind of flip out like a switchblade. (sorry for the imagery) the safety razor is wound with nylon thread and makes cutting yourself next to impossible IF you are not in a hurry. These "safety switchblades" are hard to find on the rack. They are white and do not look like a razor. They come three to a pack and are about 5 bucks. 2- lots and lots of shaving cream. 2.5- more shaving cream. 3- do it in the shower. 4- DO NOT BE IN A HURRY... took me 15-20 minutes the first time. Maybe longer. Anyway, stay in the hot shower for a bit. Your hair is coarse at first. It soaks up water after a bit and makes for a better cut. Hair that's absorbed water is way easier to cut. Apply shaving cream. Liberally. Wait. Stretch out the sack and make a nice flat piece of skin. CAREFULLY use the safety razor and make short strokes. It will take you a bit to get used to it. You have to keep reapplying shaving cream. Be careful with the shaft! And at some point you will be shaving UNDER your sack where you can't see. Careful there. FWIW, I nicked myself a few times, still do but if you aren't nicked once, you are not getting a close shave. IMPORTANT: make flat places to shave. do not attempt to shave anything round. :^0 As for maintainence, put lotion on the boys. Do this right away. When you take a shower the next day, exfoliate (gently clean skin with a washrag) and reapply lotion. The irritation and red bumps/rash people talk about is remediated with keeping the boys clean and moisturized. Previous posters are right-- you'll look bigger, your mate will like the neat trim look, coitus and fellatio feels different, in a better way. After you take care of yourself, tell the wife to get a landing strip! I've told a few friends about this, they try it, and their wives/GF's thanked me. go for it.
screamingOmelody
I go with the person ahead of me. Trim it but don't shave it. Trimmed is good.
NuevaVida
It depends on how high maintenance you are. If you don't think you will be able to shave all the time, use a beard trimmer. Oral sex is not enjoyable when there is painful stubble. I personally found that shaving became too high maintenance. The hair gets thicker, fuller, and starts growing back in one day. I also would get ingrown hairs and razor bumps. I ended up getting laser hair removal combined with electrolysis and can't tell you what a relief it is not to have to worry about the hair anymore.
