Help me with advice on what to do with my life.

Hi my name is *Johnny * :o I drop out of High-School about 8 years ago and life is not going to well for me.

 

At my age i still dont have things that i would love to have ( A good job).

 

Iam a slow learner and it takes time for me to do stuff. I studder at times which makes me shy when talking to people because most people would think iam hiding something from them. I have work in a few job in my life, but i have quit them with in a few short months. What do you really think is it that i need to do?? I started going to G.E.D. classes but that take a long time before i get my G.E.D. I wish i had someone to teach stuff at home or friends. As for have a girlfriend iam to shy to talk to people because i studder is there any way to make my self feel better?? Right now iam not working because i have not looked for a job and i dont have a phone to put on the paper when i sign up for a job. So share with me some advice.

PROBLEM: I studder at times which makes me shy when talking to people because most people would think iam hiding something from them.

SOLUTION: I have no idea how to overcome stuttering. But are you assuming people think you're hiding things? When I hear someone stutter, I don't think that.

 

PROBLEM: I have work in a few job in my life, but i have quit them with in a few short months.

SOLUTION: Stop quitting your jobs. In order to succeed in life, you need to have the ability to stay with things. Of course, I assume the jobs you've had probably didn't amount to much, but you still have to be able to stick around and build something for yourself.

 

PROBLEM: I started going to G.E.D. classes but that take a long time before i get my G.E.D.

SOLUTION: Don't quit. You have a history of quitting, and this is the one thing that you should stick with above all.

 

PROBLEM: I wish i had someone to teach stuff at home or friends.

SOLUTION: None from me. But if you let this get in the way of your ultimate objective of getting your diploma, then you can expect the rest of your life to be pretty much just like it is now.

 

PROBLEM: As for have a girlfriend iam to shy to talk to people because i studder is there any way to make my self feel better??

SOLUTION: Shyness is not easy to overcome. You have to find a way to never judge yourself harshly. You have to be able to like and respect yourself like you would if you met yourself. Imagine meeting someone exactly like you. You wouldn't think bad things about that person. You would just want the best for them. So try to think that for yourself. Over time, if you can do this, you should feel better and some of your shyness will go away.

 

PROBLEM: Right now iam not working because i have not looked for a job and i dont have a phone to put on the paper when i sign up for a job.

SOLUTION: Don't let anything stand in your way. Find a way to overcome the problem of not having a phone. It's not like there are no phones anywhere within miles of you. Find one that you can use. Or find a way to work things so you don't even need one. You obviously have access to a computer, so I imagine you have an email address. That's something.

 

Good luck! Be strong. The world is outside your door and there are pieces of it that you can grab if you keep trying. Just don't ever forget where you're trying to go and try to only do things that don't distract you or delay you from getting there. Don't be impatient, allow yourself time.

 

Another thing: find a role model. Someone who is an example of how to treat people with respect. Someone who is successful in life and has happiness and a good family. Ronald Reagan is a great one, no matter what you think of his politics. The way he interacted with people was a great example for us all. There are others. If you can be like that, then success and self-respect will be no problem for you.
