I was wondering, here, as us gentleman do our best to manscape, keep our beards trimmed or perhaps completely shaven, going to the gym, staying in shape, etc.

Is there some men that just can attract women that don't do any of this, I mean I'm sure they wear deoderant or slap on some calogne when they go out, but seriously. I've seen some women dressed real nice and them with a guy , even in a cap, jeans and a T-shirt and unkempt with her...I usually think its her socially inept cousin at first glance, then I see them kissing or culdding up together and I'm wondering what was it about him that well dressed woman would gravitate to such a man, pot belly and all.

Yes, some men can certainly pull off the "scruffy" look. It also depends on the taste of the particular women - some prefer the suave & well-groomed look, others prefer the more rugged look. Just go with what you feel personally suits you and what makes you most comfortable, because above all, a woman is attracted to a man who is comfortable in his own skin (be it scruffy or otherwise!).

Some women like the lumberjack look. I've pulled it off for years.

Some can. The sooner you find out what look works best for you, the more success you'll see.

"SCRUFFY?! who're you calling scruffy?" Han Solo.

Scruffy can be sexy as hell!

yes, scruffy is better, I find 6 packs fake, somebody will tell me off, I expect

But I do like decent shoulders and a bit of arm muscle, not too fat and hairy, I suppose

Yes. People tell me that I look better scruffy. I agree. :D

I'd say I prefer a more rugged look.

HYGIENE yes... but groomed to perfection? Ehh, take it or leave it.

Something more attractive about a guy who just sorta is natural about his appearance. Let the hair do what it will, facial hair is nice, body hair doesn't bother me, and just a light trim in the pubic region would be nice. Otherwise a guy's just gotta keep clean and that's it.

Hair that's perfectly cut, such exact lines on the neck, sideburns that look like they were measured with a ruler..... I mean, sure, it looks nice, but it's all a bit stiff to me.

I think you are using the term "scruffy" wrong.

I love scruffy men, but if we were going out somewhere nice and I was all done up and my man was rocking his gross camo cargos he ALWAYS wears... that isn't scruffy. That is him being lazy.

I would still think he is hot, because well, he is my boyfriend and he is sexy no matter what.

I think once a guy lands a woman, some of them get sloppy. I've lived that dream a couple times myself.

Yeah, same goes for women.

Plus what you see on the outside is NOT the entire picture.

That sloppy looking guy could in fact be wealthy, bold, funny, there are a number of things that women find very attractive beyond looks.

Really it is all about finding a look that works FOR YOU. That is the biggest thing. Some guys can pull off the 'scruffy' look IE heavy beard, goofy hair, others need to be very clean cut. As a man I have my best luck with a more or less clean cut look with 5 o'clock shadow, beard/mustach I look strange though.

Scruffy = thigh burn....:p

I get mixed reviews/responses from women on this one. My female best friend likes that in between look, not a beard, not fully smooth. Ex gf liked me smooth, but was ok with the in between look.

I actually went 5 days without shaving last week, the scratching and rubbing drove me nuts, but I did notice a few head turns from woman, so who knows. I was out to dinner with some female friends and they commented on my "scruff". I feel like I look older with some scruff.

I don't know how a woman can kiss a men with scruff..doesn't it hurt?

Some men play their physical attributes, such as a fit body. Other men play their mental attributes: smarts, sense of humour, flattery or emotional attributes: empathy, listening skills, attention. For other it may be the fact that they are successful. Or educated.

It all depends on what a woman finds more important, what ranks first on their list.

Does a man have to "play" these attributes? Or, by default, he just has them?
