M30USA Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) I was quite shocked to find out that the Euphrates River is drying up. Even the New York Times has reported this in an article from 2009. I have since confirmed that the river has dried up EVEN MORE since this article was written: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/14/world/middleeast/14euphrates.html?_r=0 While I can't confirm or rule out if this has happened before, it seems to be a literal fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. The following verse is from a section of Revelation which describes the "vials" (or bowls) of judgment that God will send upon the world shortly before Christ returns: "And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared."
