El Brujo Posted October 6, 2013 Share Posted October 6, 2013 I went to a new meetup group for singles today and it was a massive disappointment. It was free, but it was in a claustrophobic, hard-to-find-parking part of town, and the weather was hot as hell today. Not a great way to start off. About 30-35 people showed up... but instead of a roundtable type thing, it turned out to be a SEMINAR. The woman who hosted it started to lecture us on everything we singles have heard a million times already. In fact, barely 5 minutes into it, a man and a woman got up and left, and so did I. It's frustrating enough being a straight asexual without putting up with this sort of BS. I went home, signed in, and left that group. All the more reason for me to start hosting potlucks for singles at my place once I get it fixed up. I have a formula that none of the other singles meetups are currently using. You really shouldn't place such a big emphasis on these things though. Had this seminar been a normal meetup then you're chances wouldn't have skyrocketed.
