I'm assuming he's aware of the things his DS has broken and ruined in your home? Yikes!! Good luck, I really hope things will run smoothly for your holiday!

Hi TW...Thanks for taking the time to reply.

No...I've never talked to my BIL about this. I understand that parents don't appreciate even "helpful" info if their kid is misbehaving...at least most don't. Besides, my BIL was there when the kid hit me, knocked something out of my hand and demanded the "other" thing. Guess what BIL did? NOTHING. Oh...except immediately give him the "other" thing. I was kind of in shock and just looked at my BIL with my jaw hanging open! He looked a bit sheepish but just walked away. After that, I realized that the ADD diagnosis may or may not be a reality, but this kid was WAY spoiled...and ruling his parents with bratty behavior.

Still, my BIL is a great guy....just....acting out of guilt IMHO. I imagine this is not an uncommon situation with dad's that leave the 1st wife and only son.

And, yeah. I know I sound like a major bitch....but I do care about the boy. I just see some horrendous times ahead for him (and others). I can already see that the other kids his age shun him because he is so spoiled.

So....I already got him a very cool x-mas gift...And will give him an extra hug when I see him. But....beware.....I'll be watching him with the 3rd eye and have my big husband cart him off and explain "life while visiting our house" to him!!! He's got to start learning sometime.
