blue77
I need advice. My boss flirts with me daily and he has had made many comments to let me know he is attracted to me. He is married. He has never cheated on his wife. I am very attracted to him also. It's driving me crazy. He knows I won't do anything with him while he is married and I'm wondering if thats is why he acts like he does. This has been going on for 2 years and there is no doubt in my mind that he wants to be with me but it is hard going to work everyday and looking at someone you can't have. He has grabbed my hand several times and told me it's to bad we didn't meet years ago because I wouldn't have to work. Why is he doing and saying all these things if there is no intent there? This is just a very breif summary of what has been said. He is aware of my feelings. We are both in our 40's. Isn't he commiting emotional infidelity by acting this way? Do you think he really wants to hook up or is it a game?
morrigan
He wants to hook up--don't expect a divorce and a wonderful romance from this guy though. It's been going on two years and he still is with his wife. I'd imagine that you are aware that what your boss is doing is unprofessional and a legal example of sexual harassment. It also probably affects how your co-workers view you, and don't imagine that other people are unaware of what is occuring. It could also affect your job record, if your boss becomes resentful or angry towards you and is unwilling to provide a good reference to potential employers. Find another job for your own peace of mind, you sound way too interested in the crap this guy is pulling. You either will keep enjoying the attention, or if you ever get tired of it you can ask him to stop his flirtations or go find other employment. Read the Other Man/Other Woman forum on Loveshack if you want to know what it would be like to have an affair with this loser.
