My first post here:

I've been NC since the day of the break up, 30 days ago.

The first 2 weeks was hard I couldn't stop crying but it got better after some time. Now I don't cry anymore even tho yesterday I accidently looked at the pictures we took together.

I heard from someone he might have a girl already and she looks like some japanese model. Good for him.

I miss him soooo much I want to look at his Facebook or Instagram but I'm scared to see something I don't want to see and get hurt again. sigh. ._.

If you want to take a knife and stab yourself, sure, go ahead and look.

Do you think looking at FB will help relieve your feelings of missing him? It will only make you miss him more, hurt you more and leave you craving for him even more. That's not rational.

And if you see this girl on his FB, your brain will be implanted with that image and you will have a hard time moving forward, because not only do you have to struggle with missing him, but you will now have to struggle with the constant image of them being together.

Don't hurt yourself. This is the time to focus on just moving on and not allowing anything to penetrate your defenses.

I'm about 8 weeks NC. It gets easier. Although I deleted my fb account, I'd still want to look him up. Not worth it. I used to get periodic updates from his running log/journal automatically sent to me since were "friends" on the app- haven't in about 6 weeks. I figured he's letting me out of his life and moving on. That is that.

I think about this: In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you. I believe this is a Buddha quote.

It brings me peace reading it.
