tiki Posted December 8, 2004 Share Posted December 8, 2004 My younger brother (26) is in jail. He violated his probation (marijuana, alcohol) and was given 75 days in jail. So he missed my pre-wedding Luau and Thanksgiving...he misses his birthday, Christmas, New Years, all that crap. His birthday is next week but I'll be gone. So I'm going up Friday during lunch to visit him. Sad. Very sad. My mom is going up with me...but I'm going to be at a loss of words probably and it'll kill me to see him like that. We have to visit through the glass. It was a circus act getting approved to be seen. I've sent him two letters and a birthday card so far. He's sent me two letters and has called (collect) a couple of times. He says it really sucks and that he's changing. He was in last time for 30 days and he said the same thing then too. His letter said that he knew he was a failure and that he has come to terms with the fact that marijuana is illegal. And although he thinks it should be leagal, he has to respect that it is not. He's my brother and I hate to see him like this. I don't even know what he'll want to talk about with me, I'll feel so weird. I hate that place. I went the other day to turn in my application and a prisoner was banging on the small cell window. I looked up (because he wouldn't quit banging) and he put up a pre-made sign "You sexy". You post seems to be more concerned with YOUR feelings than HIS. I'm sure he feels wierd and hates the place too. why don't you give him some words of encouragement and be positive. Well.. anyway, I'm sorry to hear about your Brother.. I'm sure it isn't easy trying to make things okay when they are not.. I had sent my second letter last week and I put a lot of work and time into it. I took a yellow piece of paper, wrote his name really big on it and put some flames on there and colored them in....he really likes flames, tribal, stuff like that. Then I wrote the letter in between the flames and stuff. He said when he got the letter "the other crackheadz went crazy and thought it was god"...he said he's the talk of the jail, he's got the coolest letter. He hung it up beside his mirror in his cell as a poster and he said he's "tha man"...that it's the loudest thing in the jail. I wanted to write him a special letter with some character, not just a type written letter. He loved it. It made me feel soooo damn good. He said it made him cry but not to tell anyone.....lol....he is so funny. He said it gave him this warm fuzzy feelin in his tummy by then said "oh wait, nevermind...that's just gas". Author tiki Posted December 10, 2004 Author Share Posted December 10, 2004 Well I went with our mom to visit him today. I got to visit with him for about 45 minutes. We could barely hear each other talking through the glass. He's hanging in there and won a pair of buddy canvas shoes playing cards (He was wearing flip-flops). It wasn't THAT hard to see him like that, a little though. His face looked like a dead persons. He's buffing up some and he's so cute. He lifted up his leg and farted twice for my mom and I and he tried to wave the air through the little vent holes. He is soooo not right. He's in for violation of probation and is on the same floor as murderers. He's on the hardest floor...they won't put him on a floor that fits his crime. He shared a cell with a guy that did the local Captain D's murders in Smyrna, TN (our home town)...that pisses me off so bad. He said the guy went crazy and was fighting demons one night while he was asleep and started screaming, hitting his chest like tarzan and my brother told him to shut the f*ck up. That he kept waking my brother up. He ain't right. They moved the crazy dude the next day. Anyway, I probably won't visit him again, he's there til Jan 15th. I keep writing him letters and crap though. Just wanted to vent, thanks you guys for listening. Link to post Share on other sites
