supermom
Depression hits me once again.....WHY! I went to my doc and I am bipolar and prescribed me symbyax. Well the first few weeks I noticed a difference but now, back to the same ol' depression and anxiety. These pills cost me 65.00 each month. Is it worth it? I almost feel like I'm destined to be a sad anxious person. WTF is wrong with me? I'm pretty manic today too, just can't snap out of it. Any homeopathic ideas maybe?
Thinkalot
Sorry you fee like this. I don't have any suggestions for you though. You could always see a natural therapist if you wish to find alternate remedies to complement what you are already doing.
meanon
I'd go back to the doctor, Supermom. The dose or type of meds may need changing. If that doesn't work within a month or so then ask for a referral to a specialist.
magda
Eh, there's a few different types of meds for bipolar. I would've told you about "St. John's Wort", which would be an herbal remedy that works for some, but definately talk to your doctor. Lithium is the most common medication I've heard of used for bipolar. It's normal to have to switch dosages and medications until you find something that works, and keeps working. Don't give up. http://www.psychologyinfo.com/depression/meds-bipolar.htm
tattoomytoe
light therapy. Not that i condone the use of tanning beds, but seriously, it does help me. if you do any type of light therapy take vitamins, with extra b, D and calicium. there are other types of light therapy, with the special lights and all, but may be expensive. if there is a public green house or garden....anywhere with ;ots of light, go there and read or listen to relaxing music...it is calming, beautiful and sunny! Author supermom
Thanks for the replies. Is it normal to have the "I'm in trouble" or "somethings wrong" feeling? I feel this was on numerous occasions, which is my main complaint now with the anxiety. I hate this, I wish I didn't have this problem.
