Outsider77
I haven't had friends for years. I'm going to go crazy. I only associate with family and bf. I am too shy. There is nothing wrong with me, I'm just different and have trouble talking to people. If I can't get over this I don't know what I'll do. I'm starving for human contact. lino
Don't know if my advice is the best as I am a man but I've always made friends with people who enjoyed similar activities to me most of the time. What activities do you partake in and how often do you do them? Also, consider yourself lucky to have a partner. Many guys will never experience real romance and intimacy, you at least have that.
Author Outsider77
I don't do any activities. I like to read about science. I like art. I like building things, working with my hands. I like going outside. I like to cook. But I really don't get a chance to do any of these things as much as I'd like. I can't do as much as before because now I am sick and my body hurts. I try to do things but many times I am prevented by my physical condition. I'm also kind of unusual compared to most people. My life has been unusual as well.
GatsbyMH
Find local meet up groups and make yourself go. Get outside of your comfort zone and you will be surprised at what you can accomplish. If you can't get out to do things, find online message boards, chatrooms or even video chat (not that the naughty kind...unless you are into that...lol) to get that connection you feel is lacking. I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm dreadfully boring and all weekend have done nothing but sit at the computer in my kitchen reading forums or on pinterest (freaking addictive sight.../grumble) You only live once so time is very limited. Don't waste it.
