Wife's Female Friend Sniffed My Boxers..is this creepy to anyone else?

Geez, I never thought I would be typing those words. My wife's friend "Joan" came to stay at the lake with us for a couple of days (they have been friends for over 15 years.) They are very close and both work in freelance journalism so she has been around us quite a bit. A little while after dinner everyone went out on the verandah to have cocktails as there were several of our neighbors here too.

Apparently, my wife just informed me that Joan was in our bathroom where she was sniffing (had her nose crammed into them) my boxers which had been laying on the floor after my shower. What the heck? I want to ask her what she was doing as this is creepy to me, but my wife says she thinks we should just ignore it as she doesn't want to embarrass Joan. I am completely embarrassed by the entire thing and I don't know why. Should I ignore it too? Isn't this creepy? Why would you go into the master bathroom of someone else's home when the other bathrooms are unoccupied?

This really creeped me out...gave me bad thoughts....no one is using my en suite again...not right at all........deb

I would ignore it.

 

It could be her particular fetish and, honestly, other than the creepy image you now have in your head about this person, no harm was done to anyone.

 

Just leave it alone.

I don't get it! If one of my friends had sniffed my wife's undergarments and I saw them, they would be laying on my bathroom floor with a bloody nose right now. My wife just smiled and said, "Let it go, I shouldn't have told you." When I pushed, she said "There are things about this that you do not know and do not want to know." Cryptic, yeah? Maybe that fetish you were talking about? Exactly what fetish are you talking about? Underwear sniffing?

If i caught soemoen sniffign my partners underwear if i had a a partner that is......i would face off and let them know they have overstepped the mark i wasn't comfortable with it and if it happened again the friendship would have to be reconsidered....its a major invasion and yes creepy..it made me instantly paranoid.....thinking about it....as i have mael friends who have at times used my toilet in my ensuite as the other toilet was occupied..my underwear is normally hidden but.ack..really gross grumps..........deb

Honestly, Deb, this is the response I thought my wife would have...she is usually a little spitfire. She assures me I don't want to know anymore about this, so I suppose I will just try to be scarce in the morning before "Joan" leaves. I trust my wife's judgement on this so I won't ask Joan why she is sniffing my unmentionables. :o

Even if she has a sniffing fetish, I still don't think it is appropriate to sniff your friend's husband's boxers for any reason. I am sure her husband wouldn't be happy about it, in any case.

I guess the next time she visits you should use the hamper instead of the floor :laugh:

 

I'd be creeped out.. I would also like to know why or what she was after, does she have the hots for me kinda thing so if I have to watch that in the future..

I know your wife saw her, did she see your wife watching her ? in other words does she know she got caught ?

 

Even though I'd have questions I would also let it slide like the other posters have mentioned...

I dunno. If I was your wife and found my girlfriend sniffing hubbys shorts I'd hand her the detergent and point her to the laundry room and say "have a blast".

 

Next time she's over and you leave your shorts where she fan find them, include a note tucked in there. "I know who you are. I know what you are doing. I'm watching you. You better be watching for me." And watch her squirm.

So, she left the bathroom door open and your wife happened to walk by and see her?

 

Little side note: Lesson learned, don't leave your boxers on the floor after a shower, especially when you're gonna have company over! :p

Grumps it sounds like you made the right call and it seems like Carrie nailed it. However, after Joan leaves, let you wife know that while you may not want to know more, some of us on LS are a bit bored and for a little entertainment. So, if she wants to share a bit more, I'll grab the popcorn and take a read. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and try not to act weird around Joan as I am sure she does not know you are aware of the incident.

Fair points, but.....

 

I didn't want to be carrying clothes through the house to the hamper because I was late coming home from watching football and there were guests sitting in the kitchen having drinks with apps before dinner. I had no idea that someone would go through the house, through our bedroom and through our master closet to our master bedroom to sniff my underwear. :o Who does that? I have never done that, ever.

 

Last night my wife sniffed my pillow, sniffed my shirt's underarms, sniffed my boxers, sniffed me in the shower, kept sniffing me in bed. :rolleyes: Keeps laughing about it and I am starting to lighten up about it.

 

I asked if Joan might have some kind of fetish, and she said "I love it that you don't get this." Wife is having fun at my expense and enjoying the heck out of my discomfort.

 

Still think it is creepy though,

No, she has no idea wife saw her. Wife said she just backed out slowly as Joan's eyes were closed and she was inhaling big time. I wish she had never told me. If she hadn't had a few beers, I doubt she would have.

There is far, far too much context completely missing from this thread, to pass any complete judgment on "Joan".

 

Chief among it being how the wife came to know of what any random house guest was doing in the bathroom. Clearly, also, the wife is withholding considerable information about Joan as well, and it is most likely that she gave the OP this little tidbit just to draw his reaction.

 

Don't think another thought about it until additional context is afforded by the wife.

Maybe she was sniffing your boxers to find out if they were dirty or clean. Don't know why she would care, but it is possible. I do this sometimes, because the other people in the house don't necessarily clean up after themselves and sometimes clean clothes are on the floor when they shouldn't be.

:laugh: I'd be ok with this whole thing. If you wanna sniff my underwear that are laying on the floor, go ahead. As long as they aren't on my body and you aren't going through my dresser drawers. And your wife is not bothered with it, so...meh, whatev. We all have our little quirks.

 

However if it were a guy sniffing my wife's/gf's panties, I would be pretty pissed and words would be said.

There was absolutely no way I thought anyone but my wife and I would be in that bathroom...it is a walk from the entertainment areas, but I will not leave my shorts in the floor again when that woman is around. :sick:

 

Master bathroom is through the master bedroom and walk-through closet, so my wife was grabbing a sweater because we were all gathered around the fire pit on the verandah and she was cold. She grabbed the sweater looked up and saw her and backed out really quietly. We had music on the speakers throughout the house so she probably didn't hear my wife.

I think my wife was amused by it, and a little tipsy or otherwise she probably wouldn't have told me.

I have come to the conclusion that Joan was maybe a little drunk and did something silly or my wife would have expounded on it as we talk about everything.

Thanks to everyone who agreed it was creepy. Just making sure I wasn't overreacting.

Your wife keeps saying you don't understand. Find out what she knows. She might just be messing with you. Maybe Joan is obsessed with you but I don't know why your wife would be amused with that.

 

I highly doubt "Joan" is interested in me in any way. Even though she has been friends with my wife along time, I barely ever talk to her and although I am polite, I don't really interact with her either. She is extremely shy (except to sniff her friend's husband's boxers :lmao:) so I can't even imagine interest there. Also, if my wife says I don't want to know then maybe I don't. Now, you have me curious....thanks a lot!:D
