sunboy1984
My best friend at uni has just split up with his girlfriend and he has been with her for about 4 years . They inevitabely knew that it would not last because they started going out when they were about 17 and now being 21, she said to him that she couldnt remember being single, and how it felt. He came home ealry from his girlfriends to tell me that he had broken up and he was so upset , and i felt upset too for him cause he's a good guy, and him and her seemed l,ike the perfect couple, I mean i wouldnt have been suprised that if they said they were getting engaged after our degrees or something. It seems like its definitely over and he told me he was so looking forward to xmas but now hes not, even just last week i went with him to find her present and he was so happy about it. I have no idea what to say to the guy to help him through it, all ive said thta if he need to talk that i will listeb but i felt like sucha twat because i sat there not saying anything. Please help me what to say to him because we are doing a demanding degree with a hectic workload and I would hate to see him throw it all away.

Patiently waiting
bring her with you......I'm sure she would understand, girls are sympathetic to guys who are bummed out about a break-up. Maybe even ask her if she knows any single girls who might want to hang out with you guys.
