Endlessly alone and no end in sight

Yeh, that only makes sense, but sadly it also extends to individuals who are genuinely wanting to heal. Many people in my support group have had similar issues with therapists. Perhaps the training in australia is insuffient? It seems the therapists here do not really understand the impact of child abuse.

 

Oh maybe there's a cultural difference. I'm in the US and it's hard to imagine therapists acting like that. But who knows, I'm still in school.

I've heard that people in many countries dislike australian tourists. They tend to come across as unsophisticated and rude. My parents are sri lankan/dutch so I don't come from the "typical" australian family ie: english/irish convict ancestory.

...But I don't use the online venue if at all to purposely date or hook up. I was endlessly without for so long, then met someone in the most next to highly unlikely of places. He (said he) loved me.

 

See, that's how things CAN change from bleak and alone to found and fulfilled: on a dime and unbelievably, but everyone's luck or chance is different.

 

But.....now I am sans him because things were, 'tho I did see it at the time, truly quite presaged to fail. We couldn't sustain our "connection" and relationship.

 

Things are not perfect any more individuals are but try not to think too much on yourself, your empty solitude, hopelessness or even disappointment 'cause Life could surprise you in the fortuitous way in having you find soneone or vice versa...anywhere.

 

I know scant about PoF but some ppl have found their life partner on Match. I may not ever explore that website 'tho if any, like so many others I dread long shots and disappointments.
