LucreziaBorgia
I just saw a TV commericial for the Conair "Totally Pain Free Hair Removal System" - some sort of device with rotating heads that appears to somehow 'grind' the hair off. Has anyone used this? Is it painless? I know it *says* that its painless - but I'm having trouble finding anything online about it except that its for sale on about a thousand different sites. Anyone tried it? Liked it? Hated it? Did it work, or only half assed work? Wanted to ask around before I go out and drop some cash on it. Thanks!
Barby
I have never used that "exact" product but I used some similar and it's like a sander...it rups your skin raw to get rid of those hairs and leaves your skin soft but RAW! But who knows maybe they've found a way to avoid the rawness?!
Author LucreziaBorgia
Ok, so I broke down and bought one with a gift card that I got. Fairly good price. I tried it. They aren't lying - it is totally pain free, but now some hour or so later I feel like I have a light sunburn and there is still a lot of hair on my legs. There are bald patches, so there's hope. Apparently you have to use it 10-12 times to get used to it and for it to work optimally. From the 'patches' I can tell its going to work well. Tonight though, I'll be on the lookout for a lotion that soothes irritation. The irritation isn't bad enough to make me want to quit, but it stings in spots. Anyone know any good suggestions for skin irritation after exfoliation? I've never waxed or done anything like that to my legs, so I haven't the faintest idea what to use. Any suggestions? I was thinking Novacain, but I highly doubt my drugstore will sell me that.
Mr Spock
Laser hair removal-you see it on the swan and extreme makeover....that and types of creams like "Nair"...... Anything with Hydrocortizone in it will soothe. I've used Solarcaine before as well.
