KatZee
I can see why no one calls you back. You need a complete mentality overhaul.

Author napy666
Plus most places always want someone whose had experience whether it'd be 1 year of retail or 1 year of food service, etc. No one will take me with little experience.
MidwestUSA
I don't got that much job experience anyway. Sorry, I'm going to nitpick a bit here, but do you talk like you write? 'I don't got that much'? Why not just use the word 'ain't'? I believe it's in the dictionary. Perhaps you need a life coach to brush up on some basic skills. Do you have an older friend or relative who can work with you? Can you take some basic courses at a community college, even if you're not planning to apply them toward a degree right now? KatZee
Plus most places always want someone whose had experience whether it'd be 1 year of retail or 1 year of food service, etc. No one will take me with little experience. People get hired every single day with little experience. It's called on the job training. If you are positive with an enthusiastic and great attitude an employer will take you, the person who's willing and exciting to work, over someone who looks good on paper but mopes around and essentially acts the way you're acting right now. I'm not really understanding the whole point of feeling sorry for yourself. Get up and change it. You sound like you need to focus on what it is you want to do and then go from there. You can't just float around like a piece of dust in the wind with no direction and then expect to be hired somewhere. Focus yourself. Where do you want to be? What do you want to be doing? Then start at the bottom and work your way up. But to sit and throw yourself pity parties and say "well whatever I give up, no one will hire me anyway" you're really never going to go anywhere in your life.
pink_sugar
My friends keep telling me to go do volunteer work to gain experience in which will lead me to get a real job. How would me volunteering at a animal shelter or library or who knows where get me a job at a retail store or somewhere else? Its like if I applied to a job working for a dog place wouldn't they expect only dog work experience only? Not someone who's worked at a fast food place, toy store, and then dog place? It will count as working experienced period if you're just looking to get a paid position period when looking for your first paid job. It also shows a lot about your work ethic and may also impress the right manager.
