PinkInTheLimo
Congratulations! I am not into BDSM otherwise I would have a look at such a site; who knows I could have more luck there than on another dating site.

myothernic2
Yep - we met through a BDSM site when I became my Master's slave girl. Then I met his kids and I became his girlfriend. Last New Year's eve, I became his fiancé and yesterday at City Hall, I became his wife. We are doing a bigger ceremony this Thanksgiving for his family, but wanted our union recognized in the state in which we live. I adore LoveShack. I found it many years ago when I was in a particularly toxic relationship and through friends here, I was able to end that relationship and move on. There were many dark days and times when I believed I would never find anyone. So I am assure those who feel despondent and lost that the pain does go away and it is possible to find love again. It took me 25 years to want to be married again and I will continue to beat the dead horse of advising 20-somethings to w Life is so much more interesting and fulfilling in my late 40s and I am looking forward to my 50s and onward. Congratulations to you Carrie! You've had an interesting story and many well wishes for it to just keep getting better:)

karnak
May your happiness serve as an example to all the people in LS that, after the storm, things become quiet and you can find true bliss and peace. All the best to both of you.
Author CarrieT
I'd love to read about your plans for your family ceremony. Nyla, the family ceremony was held this last weekend. I am in California and my fiancé's family is mostly on the East Coast so we planned it for Thanksgiving weekend for mostly his family and two of my friends who were able to get there. My parents have already passed away so I had no one to walk me down an aisle so I asked a high-school friend who stood by me during that difficult time when no one else did, some 30+ years ago. He flew to North Carolina from London to do this for me. I also have a girlfriend of 20 years in South Carolina who was able to drive up and stand by me. My fiancé brought two of his three children (one is severely autistic and mostly lives with his mother anyway) and part of the ceremony involved them. Our vows involved a Pagan hand fasting ceremony for a few reasons; first, I am not a Christian and this was a nice way to include a veiled form of bondage in the ceremony and include my occult tendencies. As a jewelry artist, my fiancé did not just go out and buy me something that he thought I wouldn't like and we waited until we found an antique set. I wanted something old and vintage as I knew it would have - at one point - been hand-crafted versus the modern, mass-produced pieces. What we found was a fairly simple, European-cut solitaire as the engagement ring but what made it special were two vintage bands we found; sapphire eternity bands that sandwich the solitaire. In the ceremony, he gave me one and then his kids gave me the second one so I now wear three rings, acknowledging that we were now a family. In our vows, I referenced my occult leanings by discussing our True Wills and that how they will align. I also managed to incorporate those things that brought us together; our love of avant grade music (I walked down the aisle to Philip Glass music) and in my vows, I referenced those things that interest us calling him my Mr. Darcy (literature), Mr. Adams (history), Mr. Bates (British costume drama), and my par'Mach'kai (Klingon for life partner). We finished by stomping the glass for his Jewish heritage. During the cake-cutting, we sang the Russian song heard in Hunt For Red October for our love of submarine movies. I had to ship the wines that we consumed as the inn where the event was hosted had an atrocious offering. It was pretty fabulous and even traveling during the holidays was pretty seamless. In the Spring, we will be hosting a California reception for my west coast peeps.
