d0nnivain
i reminded myself that every bad date was one step closer to finding Mr. Right. I'm also a process person. I enjoy the journey so I would always try to find something positive about an encounter even if it was that I got to try a new restaurant that I had never previously visited.
Disillusioned
I know that some of the traits my ideal woman has, are things most men would consider turnoffs---if not outright taboos.
Kate9292
I know that some of the traits my ideal woman has, are things most men would consider turnoffs---if not outright taboos. There is someone for everyone supposedly. I hope those traits are not criminal though.
Talia
Is there really someone out there just for us?
Valen
Is there really someone out there just for us? Yes but it depends if you're lucky or not, you may go through life without ever bumping into them. For me, I felt like I did meet mine in a bookstore, but it was a chance encounter I did not take hold off and she left. No name, no number. Gone forever.

For me, I felt like I did meet mine in a bookstore, but it was a chance encounter I did not take hold off and she left. No name, no number. Gone forever. How do you know she was the one for you? I mean, how do you know you were compatible at all?
Targetlock
because I'm a hopeless romantic i suppose, and will never give up searching and hoping, though some days that gets harder. there is somebody out there for everyone, there is enough people out there!

ScienceGal
My logical self doesn't believe in "the one". I believe there are multiple men out there who would be a good match for me, and some who would be a great match. I just need to cross their path somehow. And, I need to recognize them when I meet them(my past selections have not been the best). Lastly, don't get discouraged by rejection. The sooner you know it's not working out (for whatever reason) the better. Move on and keep your chin up. Work on bettering yourself and being happy and healthy. Remind yourself what's important to you, and don't give up. I've been single 2 months and am ready to date. I've been avoiding online dating, but I might break at some point and try it. Sometimes getting out of out comfort zone is necessary too.
Disillusioned
Is there really someone out there just for us? Probably not. The ratio of men to women may be more or less equal, but IME many more men than women actually want a relationship. This, of course, is a scenario that can lead to trouble. Author franksthebear
I dont think there is a certain 'one' for us but a few set of people that fit the puzzle, the problem is finding the right piece
Targetlock
I think FranktheBear and ScienceGal have the right idea on this one optimistic and realistic.
