head/heels
when will we get our second chances, and if we do will we really want them>>?? i for one could go the rest of my life without hearing from my ex bc i know she is not in my league....i went down to get her and bc of her poor self esteem....(even though she was prom queen of her HS and gorgeous as i'lll get out) she lost me (not the other way around). So now i am talking to a few females that i am treading lightly around...one that i am dreaming of is a rediculously hot futbol player that is home for the holidays....too bad she has a bf back at college, but she was flirty with me so that was exciting and i know that she is not that into this bf since a. it has only been 3 months, and b. she was asking my auntie about me the day that we met at my aunts open house (family get together for food and comraderie...she is one of my cousins friends)...but she is taken as of now so i am trying to lay the groundwork for this summer when she will be back for 3 months and (hopefully) without a bf....a man can dream cant he.... another girl is the sis of my supervisor at work and her bf jsut broke up with her about 1.5 months ago so she is hurting too but he has done this b4 and she is coping much better than i did at the same time period...she is great loooking, has a great head on her shoulders, and i believe she knows what it takes to make a relationship work if things got serious....all the things i am looking for as i dont want to get stuck with another closet bottler or someone that holds their feelings in and does not have the strength to work on their weaknesses...never again for me...so my question is....if you got that second chance now....what would you do....there are no maybes or if she or he was like this now and was 100 percent into us working....just yes i would or no i wouldnt....i.e. he/she says to you ....i want you to take me back and i need a one word answer...yes or no? which is it...? Weird
I'd say yes and hope ol punkaroo got out of her working robot phase.
Sukotto
I'd say yes, i'm sure everyone would if the issues were resolved that caused the original breakup. You obviously saw something in this person to date them for X years. In reality after a split you lose contact with the ex and when the person has changed the other has moved on and can't see the change.
djones
Hey Guys, I would say yes, and I hope to see what the rest of you all have to say, ie bigsteve, atlous, mj et al...
mj108
I would have to say that I would tell him NO. My anger stage has got the best of me. I haven't seen my ex in over 3 months. He called me drunk a few weeks ago saying that he cared...blah..blah...blah. If he cared he would had stayed with me & he wouldn't had left me for psycho wacko! I should had told him to get lost but I guess I'll save it in 2005 when he calls me back (which he will since I was the 'good' girl that got away!) Sorry for all the anger. You all know I go through my stages. I've decided to make a clean break. When he calls me next time I'm going to tell him goodbye forever & walk away from the one who I know is my soulmate. It's best for me to do this because how in the world could I ever trust him again? Anyway, sorry for venting guys. How's everyone doing? Take care, MJ

GreenCap
Tough question this one and had played this in my mind during the early parts of my break-up alternating between yes, no, maybe or along the lines of yes, and I will show you how you hurt me etc. But I still don't know because just to think about this question suggests that I have not yet moved on and she is still in my mind haunting me. I guess I will worry about it when the time comes...good question nonethless, for which I have no immediate answer. But couldn't resist posting some thoughts going through my head. Sorry. smile
Knee jerk reaction..YES YES YES.. but what with all the insecurities involving tours and stuff I think slowly is the answer. Even tho I think ( hope) we are on our way back into something good. Good question though because for a while I didn't know if I wanted him back.... or even wanted to deal with everything. So my answer, slowly but yes.
UnicornGirl
Yes, but only if he admitted he was a hypocritcal baby for a significant chunk of time. I don't think he'd ever do that, though. So probably no.
dyermaker
I think a lot of people see strength in saying 'No', but I wouldn't be a fool.
daphne
no. i'm not a freakin masochist. but then again, i believe my situation was a hell of a lot worse than yours. with a normal person who simply made mistakes, i would if i loved them.
