Love is real

Love is real. It has nothing to do with romance. We want so much to be loved and accepted that we grasp at the world outside of ourselves hoping to find these things. If only for a moment we can taste it. It is like a junkie searching for a fix. We do crazy things to get it. Things we don't quite understand but have little control over. The thing is, if we really want an abundance of love in ourlives, all we must do is love. If we open ourselves to love, we surrender to the things we cannot control and simply become more loving and accepting, then love flows threw our entire being. We are free to love, no matter what. We do not need the world to approve of our love, because our love is real and wild and free. There is great power in this. Only we have the power to give ourselves this gift, no one else. Only we have to power to rob ourselves of this gift, no one else. We can chose to hide our love out of fear, or we can chose to shine as bright as a blazing star. Giving our love to the world no matter the pain we may feel, no matter how beaten we become. This is true courage. It's amazing though, once we open ourselves to love, we can find it any where, even in the strangest and darkest places. Keep it real good people, keep that **** real!

What are some concrete, specific ways we can radiate this love to the world? Personally, I do my best in my everyday life to look on all other people as good, worthy, and deserving of compassion and love. It was hard to get out of the habit of seeing everyone as an enemy, and it's something I still struggle with sometimes, but it's worth the effort.
