UnicornGirl
"you can't afford the luxury of a negative thought." really wonderful book. a bit on the hippie side, but wonderful nonetheless. I found it on a dusty old bookshelf in the attic and have spent the past 2 days reading it. it's extremely helpful. it's meant for people who are suffering primarily from life-threatening illnesses, but as the authors note, sometimes life itself is a life-threatening illness. there are a lot of exercises for overcoming resentment, dealing with painful memories, and similar. I thought I'd mention it since it's been helping me a lot, and since many of us are stuck in the negative thinking rut the book analyzes and seeks to correct.
HokeyReligions
I think I remember reading that back in the 80's. Isn't that the one that begins something like "everything created by humans, good and bad, began as a thought" ? I probably still have my copy in my library.
