wjh
I want to just enjoy some family time with my mom, like sit back and watch a movie with her at home, but she does not appreciate it. Like when I ask her to let's sit down and watch a movie, she'd say things like, nah, I'd rather not waste time in front of the tv, and she'd rather go take a bath or iron some clothes (our domestic helper can do it, not in a rush)... or like when we go out for a meal, its usually with some other friends of hers, and we rarely get the chance to really talk, but I especially think that she can at least enjoy a movie time or something. Is there anything that I can do...?
Stone
Tell her you want quality time with her, she will probably be EXTREMLY happy that you do, as a mother I'll tell you I'd be tickled pink if my son said that to me... But I am not a TV/ Movie person either, I also feel like I am wasting time.. why don't you think of something else to do , go to the park and have a picnic, schedule a lunch for the two of you. Go shopping togeather, help her with something, ask for her help.... I think if you ask You shall receive.
moofer
if she doesn't want to watch a movie, then she doesn't want to watch a movie. you have to understand that.. maybe she just isn't the type of person who likes to talk.. quit thinking she's going to do what you think she will and ask her what she likes to do and bam, you're good..
