I've told my story on LS about 3mo. ago. I went through kind of an ulgy divorce my wife wanted a divorce for reasons not really clear to me but anyway now that we are divorced we are both seeing new people.

Here's my problem when ever I go to pick up my daughter this new guy comes out trying to be a bad ass or whatever and I just want to pick my kid up and go but I can't without this guy comming up on me. I don't want to do anything crazy but I'm not going to let this guy keep fronting me. My wife and I don't talk much I think she still has feelings or something.

Any advice or inpup would be very helpful

There is no reason why he should even be coming around when you pick your child up. I would either

1) call her and ask her to meet you in a public place to drop your daughter off to you

2) ask a family member (you can trust) to be the person to pick up your child and bring her to you in a different location.

3) If neither are options, get a court mediator involved...(I think you can do this but I'm not really sure).

If he is threatening you, get the police involved, your daughter doesn't deserve to be put in this type of situation, don't let that pr*ck stop you from seeing her.

Thanks Barby I've been out for a few days thats why I'm just now responding.

You know the time this guy and my ex spend on giving me a hard time my daughter could already be in my car and I could be off I don't want to talk or anything.

I'm not really a religious guy but I think god separated us for the best now that we're separated I now see her true colours and I wonder how long she has felt that way.

Every time we get to a point where I'm at least civil to her she pulls something else out of her hat.

Is it me or don't most reasonable people want to have a civil relationship with their babys father for at least the kids sake.

There is something going on in her head that she's not being honest with herself about I think but like I said I don't know her anymore, fine, but MAN why does she make seeing my daughter like pulling teeth you know you have to go but you put it off.

Thanks

Well My friend who is male had a ex who had a lot of issues. It finally came to the point where it was court ordered to exchange the kids at the police station. Do what you have to . Its not healthy that the child has to see this drama. Some people like to be civil but her dude may be controlling or it may be just her telling him things (you never know) or a little of both. I raise my son alone and I wish his father would've tried to come pick him up and have a relationship with him. You keep doing the right thing. Its for your daughter. God don't like ugly, so let them keep acting up.

Keep your head up !!
