hotgurl
I'm not married but my bf said it first. I wanted to say it for a while before he said it but didn't want to scare him off. He said I love you and I said thanks
tiki
I think I said it. Gosh, I can't remember. I thought I heard him whisper it while we were gettin bizzy. Oh well. But I know he said it back and said he had been wanting to say it for some time. I still think he was whispering it, no matter how much he denied it.
HokeyReligions
I don't remember OK, I just called hubby at home and asked him. He doesn't remember either but he thinks probably he said it first because I'm less romantic and more reserved and he is, and was, always less cautious than me. My memory (because of stroke) is like swiss cheese. I don't even remember the marriage proposal AT ALL!!! Later------ Hubby just called me back asking WHY I wanted to know! LOL! His curiosity is cute. He was in the shower when I called before and asked him to reach back into the cobwebs of his memory and he had to step out of the shower to answer the phone! Naive
I think I told him, but if I not mistaken he would tell me playing around but at the same time trying to see what my reaction would be.

whichwayisup
I knew I loved him right away but held off abit...He knew I felt that way and when the time was right and we'd been together for 2-3 months he told me first then right away I told him back!! We tell eachother I LOVE YOU daily still after 11 years and our golden rule is we never go to bed pissed off at eachother. That is very important.

JenniferN
I honestly don't even remember, I think I let him say it first, I've never been one to do things first until recently... was always to shy, not the case anymore
quankanne
I did, not long after we'd met, because I cared for him dearly as a friend. Of course, he freaked, not "getting" it ... he'd just gotten out of a bad marriage several months before (ironically enough, I didn't figure that out until several weeks ago ... and we've been married 12+ years!) now for the funny part: he knew I cared for him (otherwise I'd have not waited around for him), but didn't admit that he felt the same until the trip home to meet his family. I had just convinced his mother that he and I were just friends and our relationship wasn't really headed anywhere when Richard burst into his sister's house complaining about how SOME people didn't have respect for OTHER people's girlfriends. Then said something to the effect of "you know I love you dearly" ... I about died, because he'd never EVER mentioned the L-word. Much less in front of his mama, who I took pains to assure that he and I weren't serious!!! our golden rule is we never go to bed pissed off at eachother. That is very important. very true -- aint nothing worse than missing out on a good night's sleep because you're so angry with the person sharing the bed with you. Thankfully that's only happened less than a dozen times since we've been together. I just don't like being upset or angry with people ...
screamingOmelody
I knew right away, I fell in love the first time we made love. I remember the exact moment that I fell in love. He took longer, 6 months before he felt like he was comfortable saying I love you. I think that women in general fall in love faster than men because we are more emotional. We have been together 10 years and we tell each other several times a day that we love each other. Happy Holidays!!
RowanRavyn
He told me and I had my hands over my ears saying "no no no no no no." I was scared it would jinx us, he pinned me took my hands off my ears and kissed my face saying it between each kiss. I said, "Don't say that unless you mean it!" He just grinned and leaned down and kissed me and whispered it against my lips.
