muffin
I have a guy friend who recently left a girlfriend he was living with. (we are all in the 40's age range). A single female friend offered to let him stay with her in her house since he needed a place to go. He has plenty of friends, both male and female, but his reason for staying with this female friend, is that no guys offered. She has had a crush on him for two years, and has offered before to let him stay, but he didn't then. She's a very unattractive woman, and kind of uncultured in her behavior. Sadly, she doesn't seem to have any personal pride. She knows he would never date her in a million years, and he made it clear to her on a couple of occasions that they would never be more than friends. Still, she never stopped flirting, and I think she's the kind who would be willing to take whatever crumbs she could get, regardless, since she knows that's all she could get from him. Anyway, I found it strange that he would be willing to stay with her under those circumstances. He said she told him they were just going to be friends with him staying there, but that seems strange too for her to say that, that should go without saying, if HE was the one who told HER in the past they were nothing more than friends. Anyway, he is dating some other woman but staying with this friend, at the same time. I just wondered if anyone might offer an opinion to what they think might be going on. Especially any men out there.... do you think he might be involved sexually with the female friend, staying at her house? Someone posed that scenario and now I'm curious, if guys really would do something like that. This female friend is kind of aggressive and flirtatious, and I'm sure she is lapping up every moment he is there in her house, regardless of whether or not he is dating someone else or would ever give her the time of day. Any opinions?
