d0nnivain Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 He was such a sweetie today. He came to my office & helped decorate. But now I have asked him to do something he hates: start dinner. he has to put the meat in a roasting pan & put some seasonings on it before popping it in the oven. This ought to be interesting when I get home.
OpenBook Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Actually I hear men make better chefs than women. You may have created a monster. 1
DaisyLeigh1967 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 What is the big deal? You work too, from what I gather. It won't kill his soul.
xxoo Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 How long have you been married? And, How was dinner?
Author d0nnivain Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 My husband hates to cook. He has this "thing" about touching food. Dinner was actually awesome! In case the tounge in cheek didn't come through: Although I was a bit worried because he can burn water, I didn't really consider tonight a test of any sort but I was so thrilled when I walked in & the house smelled delicious.
crederer Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Jeeze. You sound pretty easy to please. How do I find a girl like you?
JamesM Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Question.... Why are there tests in marriage? And what happens if he failed or fails the test? Because he passed, what was his reward? No disrespect meant, but it does irk me when I read of someone testing his or her spouse. 1

It wasn't a test. I was happy to learn that my husband was occasionally willing to put dinner in the oven. Even if he hadn't, "failure" would have simply meant we ate at 9 pm instead of at dinner time. His reward was sex his favorite way. Duh.
JamesM Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 You clearly didn't read my second post. I was KIDDING! It wasn't a test. Sorry. I need to read better. His reward was sex his favorite way. Duh. IMO that was well worth the expense.
