Need a little help with this one. I have a decison to make in a few months regarding the house. She moved out and signed the deed over to me. The loan was always in my name becasue her credit was not good and they woul dnot gives us the loan with both of our names on it. My question is right now being in the hoiuse makes me sad becasue we once shared a home. Should I sell it and start fresh or should I wait for those memories to fade and make new memories? I hope to nbe maried again one day and I am not sure if anyne would want to move into a house you shared with sme one else. House is 3000Sq. ft and its just me. We didnt have any kids together. Its just the house has her touch. The paint on the walls, the decor, etc. Like I sad, I can afford the house its just I am thinking maybe a fresh start will help me move on faster. She moved and never gave me the address to where she lives.

Any and all advice is welcomed and appreciated. Thank you to all on this forum. its a tough road but we will get through it...

Personally, if I could do it over again, I would have off-loaded my house four years ago. I've done a lot of renovations, but it wasn't until I had all the rooms repainted and just put down $10k in wood floors, that it started feeling better.

My next project is to finally pull a "Towanda" moment with a sledgehammer as I knock down the awful half-assed job my ex-H did on the Man Cave.

In reality, the house is too big for me, so I will most likely be selling. It soon and won't even look back.

I'm keeping mine. Too big for just me and my cat but I have too many friends in the neighborhood that I hang out with. If I moved I would be driving back to the hood every weekend so why move. I have changed some things up. Put a 70 inch TV over the fireplace this weekend and blare my music when I walk in the door every evening. I have no one to bitch at me anymore. If I were you and you like the house, just stay and change it up how you want it to be.

I have no friends in the neighborhood and it is in the suburbs. No one comes to visit me but thats okay. I still see my friends. Like I said... I just dont want to make a decision based on emotions. I refinanced when the rates were low and the payments are very reasonable for a house that size. House is building value. And its a nice tax deduction.

I left mine, but I am glad the XW sold it. It was good to split the proceeds, but even more, when I go to get my daughter from the new place I feel no real connection now. It helps as I did have some good memories in the old house. Just me.
