whichwayisup
Has anybody ever experienced 'breakthrough' bleeding during their cycle?? I was ovulating over the holidays and Xmas eve I was spotting very lightly...Woke up Xmas morning and HELLO!! FLOOD city! Yuk! I bled very heavy for about 2 days then about 2 days later it just disappeared. I think it was stress related though as I have never experienced this before. Sucks though because now I have pms and next week I'll be bleeding again! Ahhh being a woman and the things we have to put up with huh?!!!

Groovy
Sometimes physical or emotional stress will also do that.
Author whichwayisup
33 years old. Nope no menopause...s*** I hope not! LOL! I'm sure it was stress and maybe the snow shovelling too...Did a GOOGLE search on it and one of the things it listed was intense physical strain. Combo of heavy snow from the rain afew weeks ago could have done it too that week just before Xmas. I don't know. I guess I'll worry more if it happens again. Just hoping it isn't a cist or something. I'm kinda wimpy and scared of DR's and procedures...Sets my anxiety rocketing bigtime! Thanks for the input!!
_Saffy_
33....same as me, and prob not menopausal probably physical strain, plus christmas, which mentally is enough to drive most of us potty!
moimeme
Ovulation can be responsible for bleeding mid-cycle. Also, my gyno used to say that women's ovaries are the first organs to suffer from stress! I wouldn't worry too much unless you have unusual symptoms like excessive pain or dizziness or something else abnormal but mention it to your doc next checkup if it keeps happening. Karen75
Same thing happens to me. When I am under severe stress or have some time that I am very physically active for any length of time, I have the breakthrough bleeding. Not fun but not a cyst or menopause... K
