Melrapuo Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Its strange, but I've had a really decent dry spell with women. I've tried asking girls out IRL, through OLD sites. For months I was either shot down or ignored. Now, within the past week, I've gotten more attention than in the past 10 months! This one particular girl started talking to me last night and we plan on meeting the next time she visits Jersey. She seems very nice and smart and she's cute as hell haha. Its strange how life works sometimes... As happy as I am about it, something else strange happened. I posted on my FB that I may finally have a date in my future, and a lot of people were congratulating me. One of them, though, was one of the girls that kinda blew me off and went back to her ex. She said things like "I'm sure this girl is a hottie" and told me that I'm super sweet and wished me good luck. Ive barely talked to this girl for months, so I thought it was weird that she would comment on this status of all things. But oh well. Hopefully my good luck continues Anyway, this other girl is from POF and we do plan to meet in the near future. How does someone go about handling the first meeting? Do you hug? lol i don't know what to do. 1

Teraskas Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Yeah, I can certainly relate. :/ Truth told I lost count of how many times thing were looking up and flat out went cold. All because of lack of initiating, etc. on their end.

It's not easy but its better to think positive than dwell on set backs

Been single for nearly 2 years now. :/ (And it's not from lack of trying) I'm trying to be positive, but it's so hard when I only constantly encounter negative experiences.
Disillusioned Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I'm not worried... everyone likes potlucks, if you catch my drift. Even if I don't get the girl, at least my house will be in better shape than it's been in 40 years.
