When one dies and goes to Heaven,

Recommended Posts

will he or she be conscious that she/or he is dead?

I have a belief that when people die, their spirits are alive and they still find a way to keep connected with the people they were once close with.

I just wonder if people die, are they or are they not aware of not being in this world anymore and are they okay with it? I just need to know if they find peace in Heaven without their loved ones.

Or I have another theory, if I died and went to Heaven, would I able to meet the people in my family that has passed but I have not met or was too young to remember them before they passed?

I just want to know your opinions on these kind of beliefs…. Hope I don't sound crazy or confusing..

The following things are confirmed by the Bible:

1) Only those who repent of their sins and follow Jesus Christ will enter Heaven.

2) There will be a resurrection of all people when Christ returns. Some will enter eternal separation from God (hell) and some will enter eternal fellowship with God (heaven).

3) Our resurrected bodies, while spiritual, will still be PHYSICAL. This is hard to comprehend, but it's confirmed by Paul. Even Jesus made sure that people could PHYSICALLY TOUCH his resurrected body. The same will happen to us.

4) Jesus said those who enter Heaven shall be "like the angels". If you study angels, you find that they are BOTH spiritual and physical. They can be both invisible and visible (usually as a human or a flame of fire).

5) While the Bible says that angels can communicate and even physically talk with humans on earth, it does not say whether or not the dead humans can communicate with living humans. This would be an assumption and, while it could be true, it's not confirmed by Bible. We are told that there is a permanant barrier between heaven and hell which prevents all communication (see story of the rich man and Lazarus). Does this mean there's a barrier between the dead and the living? I'm not sure. The angels obviously can. But they aren't dead to begin with, so this concept may not apply.

Heaven and Hell are just mental concepts created by people who write stories. They are not real places. The reality is the science behind death. When the body dies, that's it. It's over. There is no afterlife, and the theory of biocentrism (a quantum physics theory that claims death can't exist since time and space aren't linear) is just that...a theory. The human body dies and decomposes after death. The human body is a set of chemical reactions. When a human being dies, the chemical reactions cease. So life in that human body ceases, and no longer exists. God, the soul, heaven and hell are concepts. A concept is an abstract idea or a notion. Santa Claus is a concept. He is not real. The Easter Bunny is a concept. He's not real. The Tooth Fairy is a concept. The Tooth Fairy isn't real. Heaven and Hell are concepts, an idea created by a religious belief system to control people. The only thing above the earth's sky, is the exosphere, a thin layer that keeps everything on earth from floating away into space. And then after that, just deep space. That's it.

Instead of wondering who'll you'll meet when you die, spend the life you have now with people here on earth who are in your life.

The Bible, like many religious texts, is just a book full of ideas that some people choose to adopt as reality. But that's for another thread.

Don't waste anymore time with "what ifs." Instead, invest your time with "right nows."

You should be grateful that the Lord allows for your disbelief and rejection of his Holy Spirit. Best of luck.

I'm an Atheist. Atheists don't believe in God, so I guess I don't have to worry about that do I?

LoveShack is conceptual. Its not a place one can physically go or a thing that can be touched, seen, smelled, heard or tasted. But here we are. Are you real? I've never seen you. ;)

Heaven and hell are subjective.

Hopefully! I think so :)

How did you arrive at this conclusion? Do you believe in Near Death Experiences, or how people recount "NDEs"?

Hmm… interesting. There is no right and wrong in this thread. These are strictly our beliefs, individually our own and rightfully so. What you have with God is your relationship, not for anyone else to corrupt.

I did believe that when we died, we would no longer have life or knowledge about where we came from but I don't believe thats true anymore.. Just because we don't know anything before we were born, we don't know that we did exist in another life.

But this is where I get stuck here..

Why do mediums and ghost-hunters exist? They go out in the world to find spirits from the spiritual world. Some have actually gone on television and I saw with my own eyes with them proving me that our loved ones are still out there in some form.

How do you explain that then? They have the ability to communicate to connect with the dead for their clients, their loved ones.

For example, just read this article.

MU?s ?Spirited? Interview with Psychic Medium Rebecca Rosen | Mysterious Universe

They have the ability to communicate with the dead, hearing their thoughts… doesn't mean they can see the dead. Only it makes more sense to the loved ones when they do a reading together and when the dead would say things with specific details like for example, Parents lost their young child to leukemia. Mom and Dad did a reading with the medium, and the medium was telling the parents how the child said, "I remember you put the sock there in that purse".

That was freaking cool because the parents were in total shock and remembered that too.

You probably shouldn't believe everything you see on TV ;).

As M30 pointed out, there's no real firm affirmation in the Bible that souls can communicate with us after death. There is, however, lots of evidence of demonic spirits having interaction with us on earth, and even "tricking" us into believing this or that.

Now that I think about it, the Bible probably falls on the side of hinting there is no communication between living and dead. The rich man, who ended up in hell in the parable of Lazarus, wanted to warn his brothers not to take the same path. An angel denied his request, saying that his brothers have the prophets to warn them and, if they don't listen, his communication from the dead wouldn't do any good. This, I believe, is the closest the Bible comes to addressing the OP's question and it seems to favor the angle of refuting it. But it's still not a solid answer and could potentially just be referring to the rich man here and not every case. Who knows?

So true. I wasn't raised in the Christian faith (by any means), so there are lots of things I don't always understand. But it seems that after we die, our souls move on, and have no need to stay behind. If God wants to communicate something to those of us on earth, or watch over us, or protect us, He is completely capable on his own, or with angels. He doesn't need to keep our spirits in "limbo".

Old Testament and New Testament alike refer to death as sleep, a temporary unconsciousness while the person awaits resurrection.

(1 Kings 2:10; 11:43; 14:20, 31; 15:8; 2 Chronicles 21:1; 26:23 Job 14:10-12, Ps13:3; Jeremiah 51:39, 57 and Daniel 12:2 = Old Testament

(Matthew 9:24; Mark 5:39; John 11:11-14; Matthew 27:52; Acts 7:60; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 2 Peter 3:4) = New Testament

The Biblical representation of death clearly fits its nature, as the following comparisons demonstrate: 1. Those who sleep are unconscious "The dead know nothing" (Ecclesiastes 9:5). 2. In sleep conscious thinking ceases. "His breath goesth forth,...in that very day his thoughts perish (Psalm 146:4 KJV) 3. Sleep brings an end to all the day's activities. "There is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going." (Ecclesiastes 9:104). Sleep disassociates us from those who are awake, and from their activities. "Nevermore will they have a share in anything done under the sun." (vs. 6) 5. Normal sleep renders the emotions inactive. "Their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished (verse 6) 6. In sleep men do not praise God. "The dead do not praise the Lord." (Psalm 115:17). 7. Sleep presupposes an awakening. "The hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth." (John 5:28,29)

Okay, I am making one tiny, tiny appearance just to share on this thread and then I must exert enough willpower to stay off of it.

Just over a week ago a woman who was very intoxicated whom I had never met before popped in through the gate in the backyard, came up to our door and knocked. She didn't have her shoes. She lived in the South part of the city (about a 45 minute drive) and didn't have the foggiest idea where she was. She had only been in Calgary a couple of months from Newfoundland. She had gone home with a guy from a bar, that had a one-nighter and in the morning she started drinking again and when she went outside to get a smoke, he locked the door behind her.

We let her in. Even let her sleep on the couch. Later in the day, when she woke up we drove around to the place where her shoes were and got them back.

We let her stay at our place that night too. She was in pretty rough shape.

I honestly don't totally know why we were okay with it, but we were. She had been wandering for a bit and ours was the only gate in the alley she could easily open (waist level instead of high up/latches/strings etc.

She has BPD. No doubt in my mind. I recognized it pretty early on in the conversation. She's moody, critical, takes no personal responsibility. But then all of a sudden you see this lost kid in her and she breaks into sobs, clings, and then 10 seconds later she's happy and positive, even shining. It really was like looking into a mirror of my youth, but I never went far into the alcohol route.

Anyway, when it got dark out, we talked awhile more. She started to sober up more and talk more about her father. Then she started sobbing again. Then all of a sudden she looks down the hallway and says "who is that? Who IS THAT!?" Shortly after she calms down and goes to sleep.

I don't see anyone. It gave me chills though and it was pretty uncomfortable. But I passed it off as her being drunk etc. I've been alone in my house a lot and felt periods of uncomfortability.

The next day she got up and kept asking who the man going toward the back bedroom was. I told her there wasn't a man here and she got very upset. She started describing him. He had black hair, blue baseball cap and was chubby but not as chubby as my husband and he walked into the back bedroom. She said he looked right at her.

I just about threw up. The last guy that lived in our place had a seizure trying to withdraw from alcohol. We knew him because we used to live next door. After he went into long-term care (oh god I hope he didn't finally die. Thàt would be just too freaky) we moved our stuff over and took over the lease which was cheaper than the old place. His dog was given a new home and his bikes were given to his family.

He lived in the back bedroom.

There's no way she knew him. And I seriously doubt she knew OF him. Our neighbourhood is pretty transient. We've been there longer than all but two homes who aren't rentals. Everyone else has moved on or been evicted.

I honestly think she saw Rick. Even when she started describing him something just clicked over in my head. Too weird.

And I'm pretty skeptical about this stuff.

Anyway, she did end up sobering up and going home. She brought my daughter a Christmas gift.

The Bible also makes it very clear that it's A Very Big No-No for the living to attempt to communicate with the dead - because evil spirits get involved, and it's an abomination to the Lord. Not the way you want to go.

I just want to know your opinions on these kind of beliefs…. Hope I don't sound crazy or confusing..

First of all, I would like you to read a book called "Remarkable Healings" written by Dr. Shakuntala Modi who is a psychiatrist and board certified.

But of course when you try to ask this question here, you may not get the answers you need as the bible and scriptures of the modern had pretty much taken out the concept of REINCARNATION and the Process of Karma by the medieval church authorities. Once you take out these 2 main concepts and replace them with heaven or hell, then the answers you get here will be reflected to you based on modern scriptures. N.D.E stories (Near Death Experiences) restored the concept of REINCARNATION and the Process of Karma as well as with the research of Dr. Shakuntala Modi. It is interesting to note that Dr. Shakuntala Modi WAS NOT religious when she started this project. It is through the findings of her patients that there are truly angels, ascended masters, Satan and of course Lucifer who is the head of the dark forces. Usually Satan does the commanding.

To sum it up in your first post, you are correct, but I should add some corrections. Be prepared as my post is going to be somewhat LONG.

There is an after life and when our body dies, our soul continues to exist. Our soul is the vessel of our storage of knowledge and past experiences (experiences which can span many past life times). Our subsconscious mind is our soul, like a mini version of the Akashic Record.

What you are about to read is my experience while communing with the Lord and the ascended masters and what I believe and seemed to be confirmed by some mediums who also have abilities to commune with the higher realms and Dr. Shakuntala Modi and psychiatrists who practice and follow her methods.

I will give you a very compact version of of how we came to be and live on this earth and exist and then have our corporal die and return back to the oneness with God. You must understand that I will and must incorporate the concept of REINCARNATION and Process of Karma as what the original teachings of Jesus Christ had imparted. The current teachings of Christianity is diluted and manipulated to serve a few power elite in the attempt to control you to submit to them as masters and gods. Which is why Atheist have a slogan of "No Gods, No Masters". I don't blame them for being that way.

We are all a creation of God and we are part of God. Muslim, Atheists, Christians, and whatever including trees, animals, rocks, water and earth are. Of course, some Atheists will refute this vehemently. Fine. But first you must understand that you are a creation of God. So what happens is that you have a HIGHER-SELF which exists in a separate realm from you. When you are living on this Earth, you are a representative of your own Higher-Self. Your Higher-Self is the entity that provides you with intuition and insights or gut feeling and your existence and you have a phalanx of spiritual guides and Ascended Masters to co-guide you too. Earth is a school ground for learning to obtain experiences in life so you can transcend towards self-forgiveness, Divine Love (both are unconditional love of Christ Likeness) and non-dissension and non-attachment (Buddha attainment) and resolution of all your created Karmas. When you have achieved and PASSED these tests is when you will graduate from this earth and ascend to Heaven. But while that journey ends, the new journey begins

and you will continue to learn new things in other realms. So your entity never cease to exist, it will exist forever into eternity. It's just the lessons you learn will be of high consciousness.

Having said that. What if you fail to pass the test? Well, Jesus Christ had always said that my father house has many mansions!! What he meant by that is that heaven has MANY SPIRITUAL REALMS and not only operating in one dimension but in ALL dimensions. The universe does not operate in linear time and dimension as the relative physical world of ours.

And in god's many mansions, you have 2 major realms. HIGHER realms occupy spiritual beings who have attained a higher level of spiritual attainment but did not graduate yet. You can call this heaven, but really it isn't as pretty as the real thing. This realm is filled with lots of light. So to make it simple for you folks, we can call this Heaven. Then we have another realm we call LOWER REALMS occupy spiritual beings who have a lot of spiritual baggage like hate, anger, remorse etc.... These beings have unresolved energies which they have to reincarnate back on Earth to resolve and transcend over and this place is dark (devoid of light). When Jesus Christ said physicians heal thyself is meant that while you're own Earth, your soul mission is to heal your wounds from past lives and experiences and transcend over them! Otherwise, you will be attracted towards the realm that fits your current psychology.

To answer your first question..

Will you be conscious when you die. Yes in a spiritual sense and not in a physical. What is this conscious? This consciousness depends upon 2 things. How are you with God relationship wise and your psychological state. If you hate and fear God, then you will be gravitated towards the consciousness of the LOWER REALM that promote hate and fear. Like attracts like and that's where you will want to go towards -- less light. Remember that you are always MAKING a FREE WILL choice even after you die. BUT, if you have a loving and harmonious relationship with God, you will actually EMBRACE DEATH. Because you know that you are not dying spiritually, but returning to God. If you read what Jesus said in the Last Supper. He knew someone is going to betray him and that he knew that those who did not betray him will only enjoy having wine with him on the other side (heaven), and that who did (Judas) will not. Therefore, your consciousness has enough time for the death preparation. If you embrace God, God will appear in your final days to prep you for the journey to the light. What's important is your consciousness at the last minute of death. If you embrace God at the final seconds before your death and ask for repentance and forgiveness, you still go to the light and that has been substantiated by a number of real Atheists who had NDEs and came back to tell their stories.

When you come to this Earth, you have agreed in principle when you're up there to complete certain lessons, resolve Karma and that the human body you have embodied is a spiritual vessel to learn these lessons. Your relatives have their own missions. Your parents have their own missions. Your parents actually love you in a spiritual sense because they sponsor you to come to this earth out of PURE UNCONDITIONAL love so you have the opportunity to resolve your Karma and your lessons so you can ascend hopefully to heaven despite the fact that you might really hate your parents in this physical world.

When you transition from this world into the spiritual world, your relatives, loved ones and even your parents who they all will appear YOUNG will greet you and transition you into the light if you so choose. They can't force you into the light against your free will. But they will be there.

NOW.. There might be a chance that your relative that you never met or met briefly and want to see them in heaven, but might not be there only meant that your relative has achieved a much higher conscious level or perhaps graduated and embarking on a higher spiritual journey. You might not see the being right away, but rest assured that many people you meet in your life you have met and been with for MANY OTHER past lives.

So here's a brief run down of what you might expect after you die.

When you die and leave this earth, your soul will live on while your body dies. Now after this, something happens. If you have unbalanced psychology and have a lot of attachments to this physical world, you will not want to transition into the light. You might want to stay in this world because you're confused. You're not dead and you see everyone looking at your dead body and yet, when you shout and yell at that them, they can't hear you. And yet you are afraid of God or the light, so you won't go into the light.

This is what we call, discarnate souls or ghosts. Spiritual beings that are stuck in this world and don't want to leave. There are places in the world where you can feel them -- Sedona, Arizona is a good example. These souls then go on the possess other human beings or be ghosts. The word Ghost Hunters are really crude. Ghost Hunters are people who help lead these beings back into the light. Exorcism performed by church entities are technique that FORCE dark beings out of the body of a human being only to possess others. So as a ghost hunter, some mediumship is required to communicate with these beings.

So what if you decide to transition into the light. When you get into the light, you will be greeted by spiritual beings full of unconditional love. You WILL BE loved. No human love is greater than them. You will then be led into a spiritual hospital (pretty much all beings have to) to cleanse you OFF the Earth physical psychology, false beliefs of no god etc.. until you shed all the Earth armour. This may take a LONG TIME in Earth years. But the Universe has no time nor it functions in linear time. Once you are cleansed as a pure spiritual being, you will be led again into the hall of mirrors where you will be judged by several ascended beings for your actions. You will be required to live this experience to validate your lessons. Let say, if you treat a woman like a cum bucket and that if you refuse to yield and repent, then you will have to live as that woman and witness YOU treating yourself as a cum bucket with the actual pain, suffering and the dramas and the consequences in the eyes of her. Even after this, you still refuse to repent and accept forgiveness and salvation from these beings, you will be casted out what the bible in the Book of Revelation called "SECOND DEATH" into what it mentions as the lake of fire. Even if you received a Salvation Note from your church on this Earth WILL NOT SPARE you this process. Even if you have a Masters Degree on bible studies will not spare you this. All beings must go through this stage. The first death is the death of your corporal body, but the second death is the death of your own soul, but your higher-self will be spared and will now has to restart the whole lessons from scratch.

Let's say you embrace the lord complete and communion (Complete Union) with him regularly, you will have nothing to fear come the end of your days. Can you communicate with your loved ones in the light. Sure only if they are in the light and in the same realms as you do. But if you attain a high enough spiritual consciousness, you can travel through different realms and dimensions and talk to them. But then, why would you talk to someone who is an a Kindergarten stage of spiritual development, when you're already in a University stage. You see what I mean. When you talk to your relative in the light, you are talking to a spiritual being that may not have the same spiritual attainment as you do.

Hope this helps.

Mediums and psychics do not read minds. This is an ongoing folklore. In fact, we all have this gift, the gift of intuition. No one can deny that you don't experience inner knowing, gut feeling or intuition ever in your life.

Basic intuition is pre-matrixed to us at birth for the Kingdom of God is within all of us. That's why Jesus said.

We can all tap into our subconscious mind, which is a store house of knowledge and past experiences. Basically our soul, but most of us can not do this because our conscious mind takes over daily tasks.

The purpose of meditation is to unite mind and body, where you quiet your conscious mind and be an observer of your subconscious. Psychics and mediums basically train their minds to be calmer so they can not only tap into their own subconscious, but the clients because we are all connected together as ONE with god. Again, why would Jesus Christ said the Kingdom of God is within all of us.

This is a basic skill and is a necessary skill for oneself to COMMUNE with the Lord. You actually have to do the same things as a medium to commune with the Lord, through Protection Prayers and Protection techniques to shield yourself from Satan and then meditation to quiet the conscious mind to become an observer and then perform invocations and rosaries to open the channel. And then you commune with the Lord.
