mea_M
Curious to know what is one gift that you could give to you're soul. I'm speaking of something that is soul nourishing. I know for me it is to be more in the moment minded. I'm fairly good at this however, with the clan I have and all the planning it takes daily to stay on top of things, I lose sight of being present in the moment. This I'd like to work on. Mario79
What a sweet question. For someone like me that has conditioned himself to be harsh, spiteful and hateful towards me. I try to give myself some compassion. Not pitty. But compassion, like you see a best friend gives to his or her best friend in a time of need. It's hard for me since I still react with anger towards myself under stressful situations, I would give my soul that.
jba10582
All things are connected though a source, whether you belive in a relgion, the big bang or something else. You may even notice good or evil people or very beautiful or repulsive things, that on some level you can identify with. Fully love and accept yourself and acknowledge your own thoughts without placing judgment on them. If you believe in spirtuality or a religion you may even begin to see your true authentic self as a formless being or soul, that in itself, is perfect and not some labeled or self identified form. Toddbt12y1
Wisdom. Wisdom is the food for a well nourished soul. One that can differienate between what will be good to do and what will be bad to do.
regine_phalange
Nice topic. I think the best gift is awareness... Self awareness; Listening to what your self has to say... Never letting anyone tell you who you are, what you want, what you should do. Trusting your instincts. Being a small solid seapebble. Awareness of others; because we are not alone in this earth and nothing has meaning if its not shared.
Author mea_M
hi mea_m, mine is similar to yours, & slightly different. 'what do i really need right now?' is the question i am training myself to ask. behind my reactions to my environment, is my core self saying 'i need this'. always taught this was selfish, i finally realized that not being present in my relationships was sabotaging any chance of contentment. now i know: if i am not satisfied, i cannot be fully present in a relationship. all the mind-reading i expected from others, was an excuse to not listen to my own needs. avoiding my needs so as not to be selfish, became indeed very selfish. funny how that works. j Hi. Agree!! Thanks for posting. Mea
