Author Under The Radar
That's the one! Faster you run, higher the parachute goes and the more resistance you feel. Not that I'm a sprinter but we have to do it in football training. Fire service, we do a lot of fitness. Much respect for fire fighters. Being good at pullups would definitely be helpful in that line of work.
Grumpybutfun
Cool man . Do you like mixed martial arts (either training OR spectating? Yeah, I am a grappling fool. I participate in local competitions, and train with the same set of guys who I box with. Check out local places and see what they have in your area as this is way fun, and is great for stamina, endurance, and cardio.

Tell you though pullups in full gear, 75lbs, makes pullups in your gym clothes seem luxury!!

I have a lot of respect for anyone who gets down on the mat. I don't regularly train, but I am a fanboy. I love the Gracie Breakdown on YouTube and own their Combatives DVD set - good stuff. Author Under The Radar
It has its moments. Tell you though pullups in full gear, 75lbs, makes pullups in your gym clothes seem luxury!! I hear that! The most I've ever done was a set of 5 with 93 extra pounds strapped to my waist. That was accomplished in my mid 20's; now (I'm 39.5) I could only do about half of that. The added weight does make bodyweight only so much easier. When I could do the 93 extra pounds for 5, I could rep my own weight for close to 30. Now, if you put a gun to my head, it's doubtful I'd get much past 15 .
Author Under The Radar
Probably pull ups, I can do 37 @ 192 lbs bodyweight That's much stronger than I ever was on pullups. As well, my personal bests were all done at about 165 pounds (significantly less than you are pulling).
carhill
What Is Your Favorite Exercise?Lately it's been hoisting brews with buddies but, overall, I'd say cycling, generally road and trail. I'm not really into MTB. My bike goes wherever my RV goes. It's a nice way to get around while traveling. TBH, other than when training, I never really got into an exercise-focused lifestyle. It was more goal-oriented. If I wanted to bicycle camp at 9000 ft, I'd train at that altitude. If I wanted to ride a couple hundred miles touring, I'd train for that. Never felt the impulse to bound out of bed every morning and pile on the exercise. Different strokes....
FitChick
I've always liked brisk walking outside, city or country. For specific "exercises" I like floorwork -- down on knees and forearms for donkey kicks, leg lifts, pulses; side lying leg work for inner and outer thighs. Wearing leg weights, it never gets easier and gives my butt a nice, high shape. I have zero saddlebags, unlike a runner friend of mine who looks flabby. I can get by working the rest of my body far less but if I skip the butt/thigh work, everything slides south really fast.
JDPT
I love running on the treadmill. I think it's the best cardio workout specially when you reach runner's high, you simply want to keep going and going and going. I used to run 4 miles 4 days a week. However, I've recently injured my left MCL and have not gone to the gym in a few weeks. I have an appointment to get an MRI done and see if it's either a bad sprain or partially torn. Whatever it is, I can't wait to fully heal to go back to the gym. This time around however, I would probably focus more on strength training and shaping my body.

That's like exactly half my body weight! My best in full kit (75lbs) is 17 in a minuet, 13 in a row. Just bodyweight I could go about 24 in a row. I remember my crew manager saying "the first 95% of what you rep means nothing, its the last few you squeeze out with shacking arms when your whole body wants to give out, cause one day that might just save your life" - that always stays with me when im doing any exercise! It's that extra 10% you didn't know you had!

dichotomy
The basic strength training/weight lifting moves. and light running. I do pull ups but its my worst strength training movement - inverted rows I do better and enjoy more. Dips are fun too makes me feel strong. I do like bench and shoulder press because I can hit some good weight for my age. But for overall full body feeling - trap deadlifts.
Emilia
Abs Emilia, A-B-S ?!?! I figured it would be boxing I think calisthenics trump everything for me, especially combined with weights. I enjoy the fitness side of boxing conditioning but after a while I start missing more focused strength training. It's probably in my mind and not being happy with whatever I do 100% So, what's your favorite stomach exercise? Leg raises, your more traditional sit ups, jack knives, puls ups. I've also developed something on cables that mimic ham & glutes raises with lower weight but engage abs and lower/middle back with higher weights. Haven't seen anyone else do it. Props for deadlifting. How's that powerlifting gym working out for you? I love deadlifts and miss them. The powerlifting gym was great but didn't enjoy the 5/3/1 routine and it's what they do, we were training in groups and most guys are competitors there so there isn't much flexibility, they push you for 1 rep max. My prefered training method - for the time being at least - is 5x5. I'm changing gyms in February because my current one isn't great for heavy lifting (not enough weight plates and space) and going back to my deadlifts. Not that fussed about squats. Edit: I've just read up on figure eight crunches with a medicine ball, I think I'm going to try those next. Edited December 16, 2013 by Emilia additional info

ooglesnboogles
I would say sex, but that often just ends up reminding me of how much I dislike pushups and how few I've been doing lately ;p I enjoy anything a little bit competitive when not done über competitively: racquetball, tennis, table tennis, etc. I like the racquet sports cause it typically involves you and one other person (or three others, in doubles), and I can keep track of a score to keep me focused and motivated but I don't have to feel like I have to destroy my opponent... I can get... overcompetitive... sometimes.

ooglesnboogles
Haha I always have to destroy the opposition - be it 5 year old nephew or 82 year old gran! I was like that for a long time but it took away from the fun of working out when I was upset about losing that game point in the 2nd set, even though I swept the 3rd That being said, I definitely don't mind whoopin butt in tournaments

mario_C
Burpys! It's pushups and cardio in one. And you can mix it up and keep it interesting with donkey kicks, side planks and Thai crunches, mountain climbing (in the pushup position, kick with your knees, giving it a running feel) and the good old handclap pushup trick Do one set with all those variations in the AM and it will kill you, at least the first 10 times.... Gotta love bicycling for the leisurely weekend ride effect, though last year I went through too many damn inner tubes - walking home with a flat is never fun....

Eau Claire
I like a moderate 2 mile run. A pace in which I can lose myself in thought. Gives me a natural high.
chuzzbug
Heavy volume deadlifts, 120@225 or 80@275. Uses all my energy and I find I don't stress as much after.
radiodarcy
I was going to say the cool down - - but I guess that doesn't really count So I'll say burpees. It's a good total body workout and I don't have to do a ton of them in order to see results. Pushups are the exercise I love to hate. As agonizing as they can be, that's when I can really feel my core working - -more so than when I do abs. Unless of course I'm not doing abs correctly - - which is entirely possible
