2013 hasn't really been my year. Same for anyone else out there?

I am beyond excited to welcome 2014 as this past year was one of the toughest of my life.

- 3 of my family members passed away within first 1.5 months of 2013

- my business went through a grueling audit

- my house was burglarized, many sentimental items taken

- bf of 1.5 yrs broke up with me

- cracked a molar bc of stress (grinding teeth during sleep), spent $3K for extraction & implant

Yet I'm still here smiling, positive and taking away a lesson from each of these hardships. I am a stronger and better person than I was a year ago.

For this, I am grateful.

I look at 2014 as a new beginning with unlimited opportunities.

I wish all the best to y'all as well!

Yeah 2012 hasn't been the best year, if anything the most stressful year I've ever had. But I have learned from my experiences, and have fully matured, and I believe 2014 would DEFINITELY be a better year.

By the way, is it only me, or are odd years just TERRIBLE to me? 2012 was AWESOME, the last half of 2010 was great (got out of a depression), 2008 was one of the best years of my life... etc etc. 2011 was drama filled, 2009 was a BIG mess, 2007 was also pretty nerve-wrecking. It's so weird.

Really the worst year of my life, everything just snowballed into one big clusterf*K. Hopefully, hopefully all will be peachy from here onwards. It's been so bad already, so what I've been telling myself is that, it can't get any worst, right!?

I used to have a dream when I was younger where I was doing a specific thing while just completely at peace and happy. And I actually achieved that exact dream in real life this year for the first time. :p Which was nice. Hard to explain for people who don't understand but it's like getting what you always wanted that was missing but didn't have much faith you would get.

I had all my bad years during my childhood. The very fact I'm still alive makes every year a good year. Even if I hadn't had that experience.

I'm trying to view 2013 as the solid cow dung foundation to my awesome 2014 house... Or something like that ... It's the manure that fertilizes my future soil so there's a garden? I dunno but I'm looking at it as a giant learning curve. I made huge mistakes and learned lessons so that 2014 and beyond will be better and more fulfilling.

2013 was a good and a bad year for me.

1)finished degree- good

2)made steps to sorting my health out-good

3)awful online dating experience

4)started counselling course

5)lost most friends

Who cares this girl doesn't talk to you. The exact same thing happened to me this year. Seems she and 'my' guy were just not good enough people to keep the friendship up. If you find your life pleasurable who cares what anyone thinks?

Same here, 2013 has been the worst year of my life.

- in the first year of a talent program at the company I work with.

In the third month I got a panic attack followed by anxiety disorder and now having mild depression. I had to take a step back and go to 2 days working a week in stead of 5. Looks like my beautiful looking career plans are going down the drain.

- I lost my fiancé who I was in a relationship with for 4,5 years.

- since the mild depression I have insomnia and sleep as little as 4 hours a night. This causes me to get tired, negative mood, not being productive/fun to be around with.

I try to roll with punches and accept life as it is. I hope that 2014 will put me in an upward trend :)
