GoreSP
So now it is called "fatshaming" when someone points out that "real" does not = "obese"? Wow! I have learned something new this day. Come on now I did not say that. Maybe you should read the whole thread then you would understand that my comments are in no way related to the whole 'real women' subject. I was replying to the body type bullying.
regine_phalange
I love that woman's body. It is my ideal. I'm actually slightly thinner than her but would like a little bit more curves without being overly toned/sinewy. I have used that website before and its nice to see how height and weight can look different on so many people. Thats why when people describe themselves I dont pay attention to stats so much. I agree. She is almost my body twin (except the breast ). When younger I just wanted to have thin butt and hips. But no matter how much I work out, they stay like this. Now, I just have what I have and Im happy with it. All in all, I don't have an ideal, I find different women's bodies lovely, ranging from slender to very curvy.
SincereOnlineGuy
I really love this picture (well, its an ad, but still). What??? She's like Kim Kar(trash)ian... She talks a great game, but when she gets right down to it, she wimps out and opts for the side photo to shield her own insecurity. And it's the insecurity that we could all do without. Emilia
I dunno.... Talk to most women and theyll tell you that a guy like Dwayne Johnson(The Rock) is way more attractive than those metrosexual tweeners.. TFY I can assure you that you are not speaking for most women. You appear to prefer larger when it comes to both men and women and that's your prerogative. Many of us however prefer perfectly ordinary and average sized people. The Rock is a monster. Bigger isn't always better in many many women's eyes.
dichotomy
I dunno.... Talk to most women and theyll tell you that a guy like Dwayne Johnson(The Rock) is way more attractive than those metrosexual tweeners.. TFY I dunno, There was a discussion about this here before - the Ryan Reynolds body was more the thing these days, for sure some muscle, but also thin and ripped. This is what I see most often in the media for a mans fit body. http://imworld.aufeminin.com/story/20130224/ryan-reynolds-10714_w1000.jpg While not even close to as in shape as the Rock, I mean the old The Rock, not the guy these days, I would say I have the larger frame size (i.e. linebacker/football type) of the rock ... age adjusted for middle age of course:eek: but finding proper shirts or suits is still an issue for me. But on the other hand as mentioned - I usually don't have to worry about "real women" or women being too um..oversized in any area...its just a relative thing. 95% of all women are small to me.... Maybe you guys are right....wont be the first time I am wrong! The Rock isn't a "monster"...Hes listed at 6'5" and 250...Thats pretty much standard weight for a fit man of that height..Id think hed have to be 300 or better to be beast mode. But everyones definition of monster isnt the same. And every woman I know seemingly thinks he is the hottest thing in the world..*shrug* Here is my point.. Take two guys of equal height and facial attractiveness...I find it difficult to believe that an average woman on the street is going to pick the 145 lb guy with 12 inch arms, narrow shoulders, skinny neck, etc..over the one thats jacked..Not IFBB pro jacked, now..Kinda like The Rock.. But, as I said...I can easily be wrong.. TFY Edited December 29, 2013 by thefooloftheyear
SpiralOut
I like the idea that every shape and size is okay, so long as you are healthy that is what matters. It's about time that we learn to stick together and stop listening to what other people think we should look like. I will mention, though, that the term "real woman" rubs me the wrong way. This term has been used in a negative way before, so maybe that's why it bothers me. "real women have curves." "real women have hips." Okay so those of us who are naturally thin with narrow hips aren't real? Only women over a certain body weight are real? Thanks a lot. Anyway, I'm not saying that's what's happening in this case, nor am I disagreeing with this thread in general. I just find it interesting how sometimes, there are cases of "feel good" campaigns that do so by insulting other women . . . for this reason I'm always wary of them. I think we still have a ways to go as far as self-empowerment goes.

Just posted a pic with my own body type, I am sure there are similar ones for all the other body types too. I strongly think that women of diferent shapes and sizes are beautiful. As long as they are healthy. For instance, I love Cameron Diaz's body, which is far from curvy, and her body I think is the reason why she always looks elegant, no matter what she is wearing. Or Kate Hudson, her petite frame is very lovely and feminine.

"Jacked" is not attractive to most women. I can assure you that you are not speaking for most women. You appear to prefer larger when it comes to both men and women and that's your prerogative. Many of us however prefer perfectly ordinary and average sized people. The Rock is a monster. Bigger isn't always better in many many women's eyes. This x1000! Look at who women drool over--Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, David Beckham, Brad Pitt, etc. The list is a mile long, and none have the hideously massive, overdeveloped physiques of The Rock or others that guys seem to idolize. They are all relatively slim, athletic guys. Most women I know go for "average" builds or guys who are athletic but slim. Even a guy with a slight tummy or love handles is way more attractive to me (and many women) over the monstrosities such as The Rock that guys typically insist are ideal to women. As for the site in the OP, it serves a valuable purpose, I think.

The guys you listed are classic good looking guys. Of course women are going to find them attractive..But really now...Do you think if Brad Pitt put on 25 lbs of muscle that he would automatically become repulsive? I highly doubt it..And for the record, I never said that someone like the guys you mentioned wouldnt be coveted..Go back and look..I was referring to most of the male model body types that look like skinny little pre pubescent boys..None of those guys you mentioned fit that criteria. Tim Tebow and Dwayne Johnson have the same basic body measurements. No one has ever called Tim Tebow a "monstrosity"..250 lbs on a 6'5" athletic frame inst huge by any stretch. I mean, look again..Can you really say this guy is an overdeveloped monstrosity? Because quite frankly I dont see it...and lt looks like Robin Meade is falling over herself.. Els
So sorry, TFY, but The Rock freaks me out. And not in a good way. Some women definitely like him, but I don't think they are the majority. Myself, I prefer the leaner and more intellectual sort. Think Benedict Cumberbatch. We have a variety of preferences too, just like men do.

youaremysunshine
Jeeze guys the point of the site is not to say one body type is better than the other or being very overweight is not a cause for concern. I'm my own worst critic and it can be really hard to guess another persons height and weight. I just punch in 5'6 130 pear shape and I see other women roughly my body type. It's a nice reality check cause I always think other women are thinner than me and I'm bigger than everyone else. It's also useful when setting realistic goal weights for deiters I imagine. So many images in magazines are photoshopped so they are not realistic portrayals of women. No size or shape is more real than any other as long as it belongs to a real woman!

jimloveslips
Is there such a word as embassador or did a major(?) ad campaign really misspell that word?? Amerikan perchance? There's a major campaign for STUFT taco's here - its a gimmick word but most watching will think that's how the world is spelt (sorry spelled)...
Negative Nancy
nice to see how height and weight can look different on so many people. Thats why when people describe themselves I dont pay attention to stats so much. I dont know about that site. I find it very odd how weight looks different on people. I looked up stats for the weight I would like to be: 120 lbs (I am 5'4 and currently 160 ). Some of those 5'4, 120 lbs women on the site looked like I am looking right now at 160, even though they are 40 lbs lighter. Its physically impossible - so either they lied on the site or it is some weird phenomenon.

Negative Nancy
I do have somewhat athletic legs (tree stumps ) , but youre not going to seriously tell me that legs make 40 (!) lbs of a difference.
