Buttercup123
I have been with my husband since I was 15 and married for over 23 years. We have had ups and downs like most people but mainly it was a happy marriage. Few years ago my husband was ill and couldn't work for 2 years and as he was self employed and there fore we got no benefit help. I had my own growing business and ended up working 15 hours a day 7 days a week to hold things together. After his surgery and recovery he was able to go back to work and I could at last take my foot of the pedal a bit, but all the pressure on me caused me to have a nervous breakdown and attempted suicide. I had a fling during this time with a neighbour mainly due to the fact the he made me feel like living. I ended the affair when my husband found out (I didn't hide it well maybe I wanted to be found out,who knows). Since the affair my husband has almost had me in chains, checking my phone daily, needing to know where I am every minute of every day. Things came to ahead on Christmas Eve and a huge row happened, he bit me and dragged me into his car and when I managed to slow the car down by pulling the handbrake on I jumped out of the car then he tried to run me over. I eventually got away by hiding in a muddy field. I am no stopping with my mother but at a loss to where I go from here. I need to find somewhere to live, but do not at this moment have much available cash and most agents ask for huge deposits. My husband said I have to get my 2 little dogs out of the house but can't have them here and nowhere is open to kennel them cause it's the holidays. I just feel that there are so many life changing decisions to make and I don't know where to start and what to do? Help from anyone being in similar situation would be great. He shouldnt have done that with the car, etc. But he felt you sold out on him right,by cheating when he was sick right?
d0nnivain
The violence scares me. If you think that he will hurt the dogs get them immediately & bring them to your mom's where you are staying. Most landlords with a no pet policy won't evict you once they find out about the dogs but will ask that they be removed & your mom might not get to keep her security deposit. You should be able to keep them for a few days until you figure out a plan.

There is zero justification for attempted murder which is what trying to run someone over with a car is. OP, call the police. File a report and get you and your dogs somewhere safe.
