FitChick
I've never set foot in a gym so I found very interesting. I would have thought tops first, then bottoms.
Author FitChick
So guys, is it true? Is that the rule?
Mr Scorpio
IME it is not the rule. I've seen guys finish showering and proceed to comb their hair and brush their teeth while standing naked in-front of a mirror. Things are much simpler at my current gym because there are no showers, but rather changing rooms built for one person at a time.
ooglesnboogles
At my school gym, there are old dudes who just hang out nude. One dude carried his towel around in his hand for 5 minutes, chatting up every face he recognized. Probably in his late 50s, not in shape, not fun. I change in the bathroom (in the rare cases I don't go to the gym in workout clothes) cause I'm a bit uncomfortable with that kinda stuff, and I live close enough that I can just walk home and shower there. I never did like public changing rooms like that. And dudes in my gym locker room seem to enjoy just being naked or mostly naked. I haven't ever spent enough time in there to notice what order the dress/undress...

dichotomy
IME it is not the rule. I've seen guys finish showering and proceed to comb their hair and brush their teeth while standing naked in-front of a mirror. Yep, the gym I used to belong to was a like a country club - full everything including hot tub and sauna and showers in the mens room. To make maters worse, its membership had a lot of senior men (retired). Lots of these senior guys walking around naked while shaving, talking, watching TV (mens room had a lounge). I have my some theories why these older guys do this, but who knows. I would rarely see this behavior in the men under 40 at the gym. Also my wife shared some similar stories in the womens changing room.
Author FitChick
Just a couple of fags that use it as a way to troll.. The guy in the video is gay. Maybe it's a Brit thing. As to why older men walk around naked, maybe because their wives aren't interested in seeing them naked at home. Do they tend to be (ahem) longer than average?
Keenly
The rule for bathrooms showers and locker rooms goes as follows. No eye contact. Face forward. No conversation ( maybe at the sink or on your way out with a friend )

John316C
almost... never happened in my 10 years of going to a gym. its different. ppl are more apt to look at "it" because they fear looking at it. what u fear will appear. in actual fact if u just said oh ok he likes to be naked. it may enter your vision but then you just wouldnt care anymore and you'd no longer have to turn your head. cus when your trying to avoid it the whole time you're thinking of it, but when you dont avoid it u see it and it goes away. what u look at disapears the guy who does that has a lot of confidence in his body
Jmk21
My gym has private bathrooms. No orgy shower room here

Most older guys(and women, too) arent appealing to look at, so I dont know...I couldnt tell you how they were equipped..I dont workout in the morning..I do it after I leave the office and its the last thing I do before I go home, so I change into my workout gear in my office(im self employed), go to the gym, then head home..No need to use the shower there, Ill clean up at home. The gay guys that hang around in the locker room are annoying...The one guy spends about 10 minutes real time in the gym and virtually more than an hour in the locker room..The owner should toss his ass out of there..I dont give a shyt, but id imagine he makes some guys uncomfortable. I admittedly have a hangup about public bathrooms and showers..Its a hygiene thing..No thanks.. TFY
EasyHeart
IME, it's mostly the gay guys who walk around locker rooms naked. They tend to walk around slowly, almost strutting, and like to shave and do their hair and whatnot without a stitch of clothing on. OTH, I change my clothes as quickly as possible and shower at home. I try to keep my time in the locker room to an absolute minimum.
anne1707
The guy in the video is gay. Maybe it's a Brit thing I have just asked my non-gay British husband about the men's changing rooms at our gym. Apart from his WTF reaction to the video, he finds it common for straight men to walk round the changing room naked and it being no big deal. I can also state that in the gyms I have belonged to over the years, women will also walk around naked at times and are certainly not desperately trying to keep as much of their body covered up as possible whilst changing. What this video describes all sounds a bit uptight to me.
