how to find satisfaction within

First off, I am not asking anyone to "rate me", etc.

I am an average height, brown hair, a size 6.. While I may not have the looks of a model, I do think that I am at least average.

I am 19, and go to a community college.

I have never been asked out by a guy. I have never been approached by a guy with romantic intensions. I have never been on a date. I have never been kissed. Heck, I've never talked to a guy who I was romantically interested in.

I am more of a tomboy I guess you could say, and struggle to feel pretty as it is. I have always seen "pretty girls" as "weaker" girls and I have had to take care of myself in alot of ways, so I try to be "strong."

I shower, brush my hair, etc haha and usually wear maybe jean shorts and a tank top to school. I look decent by all means.

Sometimes I wonder what it would feel like to feel pretty.

That is something I have never felt.

I guess I am looking for suggestions on how to love myself. And how to be okay with wanting to love myself, wanting to feel pretty, etc.

Not being asked out by age 19 isn't that big of a deal. You have to remember that most guys your age are not confident enough to ask girls out yet. Also if you are withdrawn, it can make you invisible to guys even if you may be pretty.

Don't aim for "pretty", unless that is truly who you want to be. If you are happy being a tomboy, don't change who you are.

But you can evolve your style to take your look to another level that makes you feel cool and like the best version of yourself. And as a side benefit, once you feel confident, you will probably be noticed more.

Who do you look up to as far as fashion and style? Look online and find photos of women you would like to look like. NOT just what you think guys would like, but what YOU like.

Then figure out how to get more of that look for yourself.

Jean shorts and tank tops are like a blank canvas. What can you add that makes you happy about your style?

Last piece of advice: smile. If there is a guy you find attractive, don't just shuffle by him with your head down. Look him in the eye and smile a soft smile at him. Feel that twinkle in your eye. Give him the invitation to talk to you.

Perhaps it's your body language that might make you look unapproachable.

Case and Point: Me vs My sister. My sister and I are both equally attractive and confident women who carry ourselves well. However, we've both noticed that I get approached by men much more than she does. I think it's because I generally give off a friendlier vibe than my sister. If a man I thought was unattractive hit on me, I would thank them and politely decline. My sister, on the other hand, would have trouble hiding her disgust.

Try smiling at guys you find attractive and practive giving out a warm vibe. I find nothing sexier in another person than confidence and a bright warm smile.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to change up your outfit, make up or hairstyle once in a while. A fresh new look may give you a fresh outlook!
