Too Crazy for people?

Recommended Posts

Hiya there I am new!

I am 27 and haven't had a boyfriend since I turned 21. I am not a person so be bothered by it until I lay down for a sleep one night recently in my star wars lego bed sheets and thought.

Omg, everybody I know is married or getting married and I live in a game museum with a comic book fortress.

Now it wasn't the loving side of it I was concerned about but the fact I, a person who is happier being alone is now afraid that if anything happens to my mum that I will be completely alone in the world forever. And, well it scared me a little.

I look very young and I even get ID checked to buy glue. I like older men and they never take me seriously, and yes I am wearing a ninja turtle t.shirt whilst I type this and there seems to be no question as to it. But I feel I shouldn't have to fake who I am in order to make a friend. Especially since now all my friends only do couples things. If I didn't work at the game shop I would see nobody for months.

Has anybody else had trouble with this?

wow you sound like the female version of me :) except i have batman bed sheets but do have a comic book and gaming fortress though. nope you shouldn't fake who you are, i also only have a small social circle.

P.S I would take crazy over normal any day, and if anyone ever sees a 'normal' person can they point them out to me, because i am sure they don't exist.

Disillusioned

I'd hesitate to say I'm crazy, but I recently figured out that one of my biggest handicaps is that my thinking is a little too far out of the box for most people---and on just about everything. Food, politics, love, science, you name it... most other people can't stomach a point of view as radical as mine.

But its good to think out the box sometimes :) you got to think of the norm to get the best ideas.

You've obviously never read any of my 3 books.

what subjects are they? from the sound of it, i doubt they are boring.

P.S 3 books? good for you!

Just be you. You may be too crazy for some people, but the right guy is going to love you for who you are.

That said - if you go into the world looking 17, that is going to scare guys off. Is there something you can do to elevate your style? Like maybe pair your Ninja Turtles shirt with a more "grown up" jacket and jewelry? Make sure your makeup and hair are still cool, but age-appropriate? Etc, etc, etc.

Just something to think about.

Take solace in this: At age 27 it is mate choosing time and there are alot of guys out there that want to conform.... initially. I am a quirky girl. At your age the guys wanted to laugh and drink with me and make out with me but couldn't take it beyond that. Now that I am 42 the retreads and the "trapped infidels" unanimously find me fascinating. They just have to live a little to realize that conformity has a high and boring price. In the mean time have fun and work on yourself. It will come round. You shall see. :bunny:
