Am I over reacting?

Recommended Posts

Long story short, I was divorced 5 years ago, had a couple of relationships that crashed and burned- some by my own arrogant stupidity, I have to admit. But those years taught me alot about my short comings - very humbling and much needed. So I'm grateful for some of my well deserved humiliating experiences. Sooooo, now an ex and I are giving it another go and tonight he threw me a loop. He's out of town and I am home. He will be gone a while and we talk everyday, every evening and every other weekend I fly out for 4 or 5 days.

So tonight, my daughter and her husband and I went out to dinner. Mark and I were talking and he was on his way to dinner as well. Then he sends me a text that the manager of his hotel showed up at the restaurant and asked if she could join them - she did. I was flabbergasted and instantly my jealous streak reared its ugly head and I was furious. I told him I was not going to go off on a jealous rant and needed to collect my thoughts. Am I wrong to think WTF? Am I over reacting? I don't want to be a bitch, but I feel the only reason he told me was someone must have seen him. Ugh! Why am I so jealous? Should I be?

Im not quite sure what really happened but I will try and understand so basically he was suppose to meet you for dinner? Did he change the plans suddenly and not come or did he want another female to join you all?

Well it he just didnt show up Yea I would be upset cus you cant just bail out of plans for other people kinda messed up but I wouldnt be jealous I mean if that is the type he is then i wouldn't give a crap its one thing if an emergency came up but dont stand me up because someone else wanted to make plans with you thats not very promising. Shows he would drop you in an instant to entertain someone else.

Don't overreact tho its not worth it
