regine_phalange
I remember losing 5 kgs by stopping eating mayonnaise! But I was 16. I doubt it would work now.
Madman81
For many years I've been an unrepentant Diet Cokehead. Drank it daily, even in the evenings. I've never had problems falling asleep after caffeine, either. For Christmas this year, my father-in-law gave me a fitness device called a FitBit, which I wear on my wrist and which tracks my steps, sleep, etc., and syncs to an app on my phone. Three days ago I cut out Diet Coke completely, and since then, according to the device, I've enjoyed the most restful and uninterrupted sleeps I've had in the last three weeks. Coincidence? Time will tell. But hopefully, cutting it out has the same positive effect on my weight.
Author BJP56
Yeah, I recently read an article that just drinking one soda each day can accumulate up to 10 extra pounds in the course of a year. Even if there doesn't seem to be too many calories in a can, all that excess sugar will turn into fat. How much soda did you drink before? When did you stop drinking it? It sounds like you also need to alter your diet in other ways to continue the weight loss, such as changing what you eat, limiting portion sizes as well as exercising more. I was pretty bad, 3-4 cans per day plus soda in a cup in a fast food resterraunt. No water at all during the day. Now I just chug water no soda at all, no fast food, just simply soup and or a salad. Today was a Ceasar Salad pack and a cup of Tomatoe Bisque. Taken into account that I burned off 800 Calories at the Gym.

Your diet sounds much better now, but don't forget to add some protein (meat, beans, eggs, nuts etc) into your diet. It helps with weight loss by keeping you satiated longer. I know a lot of people who have lost weight be eating a lot of lean meat.
BOREDouttaMymind
great job. we as a society are brainwashed into thinking that just because something is there to eat.. we have to eat it. no one thinks about what the heck IS soda?? btw, I use a soda soaked rag to loosen rusty nuts from bolts... think what it does to your stomach! plateau? cut something else out. exercise, walk. good job! Author BJP56
The biggest change I had to make was when it started screwing with my blood pressure. I was at 141/100. Now back down to 120/80. It was another reason to cut back soda among other things in my diet.
Mr Scorpio
Taken into account that I burned off 800 Calories at the Gym. 800 is a really high number for one-session. I once read that Arnold Schwarzenegger burned 800 calories in his workouts. So, unless you were at the gym for hours, you may want to check those numbers.
