newbie
Hi there everyone I'm always ill. Nothing major, just cooughs, chest infections, sore throats, and colds. Its been going since about October 2004. Ive had pharyngitis recently as well. I'm not unfit, my body weight is normal, i eat normally, i dont regularly excecise, but I do definatly get enough physical activity. After a heavy night out drinking, I ended up snogging (kissing..) this guy my friend knows. And after that it feels like Ive always been ill. Im not really close to her but when I bring it up with her she always laughs and says that he's always ill too! I feel too cheeky to call him and ask him about this. Could it be something I caught of him? IS there such a thing.. a permenant cold? Or am I not doing something right? Any suggesting will do! Thank you!
tiki
Are you taking multi-vitamins? You ask of a permanent cold...Histoplasmosis causes kind of a permanent cough. You get it from being exposed to birds. TB can cause an ongoing cough too, it's very easy to be checked for that. Drink up to some Vitamin C (orange juice) and consider an exercise regimen. Also, if it continues (sounds like it may) check with a doc. You may need a chest xray.
Author newbie
Thank you for the reply tiki. I will look that up. Yes I do take multi vitamins and Immune System booster tablets. Oh yeah, and I drink grapefruit juice every morning!
Zoot
I would see a physician as soon as possible for a checkup. Whether your symptoms are related to this person or not, they are still the symtoms of something. It may be as simple as an allergy or something much more serious.
Author newbie
Thank you for your reply zoot. Ive been to the doctors 4 times over this period. Ive been perscribed penecillin for the pharyngitis and more pencilin for mild tonsilitis. Ive explained the situation already but they think its not related. I say 'they' becuase Im at university and I have a doctor here and one at home. And they both kinda vaguley disregarded what I said... again, thanks for the reply. PS I have another appt tomorrow!
