Yet another UFO/angel thread by M30...

Recommended Posts

Just want to say, I dig this thread. I'm a pretty open minded person (ok, that's IMHO) so I believe there is much mystery to this world. My pop worked on the F-18 program from it's birth.....knew many a pilot. More than one had an "experience", some documented others not. I actually find it more difficult to believe healthy, rational people would make this stuff up then believe these folks had an authenticate encounter of some kind (whether UFO, voice from beyond etc.)

Nice! I think truth is stranger than fiction. Even as a biblical literalist I believe there are things going on in this world, both seen and unseen, that would blow our minds. I keep saying that the more I learn the more I view the universe as like a Star Trek episode except Jehovah is the supreme God. Science is half the truth; religion is the other half. Both sides are missing part of the picture.

There is actually a biblical reference to the divine council. Scripture says God takes his seat among the angels in a council. Not sure exactly what this looks like, but it seems pretty literal. We tend to think of angels as just floating around but scripture clearly suggests there are ranks and they carry out operations just like human organizations.

Copied from another thread to avoid further driving it off topic. I made a comment about getting a back stage pass at NBC studies once and sitting at Johnny Carson's desk. In return I get this

That's it, Robert. All these stories of meeting famous celebrities and being part of historic events...I'm not buying it. You know I like you, brother, but just admit you're totally screwing with us.

Well, we all know how solid your logic is!

And I don't believe I have told any stories about meeting famous celebrities, less perhaps meeting Michael Landon. And I spent ten years doing research in which I tracked down the other people of interest. The only reason you have a problem with this is that you elevate these people and put them on a pedestal, when they are really very reachable if you try. The only difference is that I tried and you didn't. I had a serious interest in the subject, so instead of spinning all sort of crazy theories, I went out and got the real stories from those who know more than anyone else about these events.

How did I find

Halt - phonebook

Mannsman - phonebook

Maccabee - his website [and I saw him speak once and talked with him]

Friedman - his website

I also tracked down Deardorff, one of the authors of the somewhat famous scientific paper, and took him out to lunch. Then we went back to his house and watched videos from his personal collection.

http://www.ufoskeptic.org/JBIS.pdf

This also help to reconnect me with Maccabee.

I called museums and researched databases. I read every single declassified military file available to the public, which took me several months of reading almost every night. I connected with serious scientists interested in the subject. I read every reputable source of information that I could find and other sources as well.

You, on the other hand, retreated into your own little world filled with crazy theories. And you would presume to pass judgment on me?!

Robert, I have not retreated into my own little world if theories. Most of my information is directly from published written material by generals, pilots and former military officials. Also I have read dozens of books by PhD researchers.

While you might have spoken with those people, I have still watched hours of video interviews of Halt, Penniston, etc.

But your theories have nothing to do with these people. You take your own desired result and allow that to drive all of your logic.

And I wasn't trying to compete with you. Because you have an interest in the subject, I thought you would appreciate my history.

As for Mitchell, I also contacted his website by email, gave him my background and motivations, asked some questions, and received his personal email in return.

Not all witnesses necessarily know the whole truth of this subject. They just were witnesses. What I do is take their accounts and incorporate them into a coherent picture of what is behind it all. When I learn new info, I modify.

What have you done, i love this show!

Came across this testimony of a pilot who witnessed a life-changing event 40 years ago but has not told the public out of fear of ridicule:

What the Bible Says About UFOs - YouTube

The reason I believe him is because all the traits of his experience are textbook--even the ones which invoke laughter. I wonder if he realizes his story is typical.

With all the news about the Malaysia Airline disappearance, I got to thinking about how there have been several aircraft in the past which have disappeared while in the vicinity of a UFO. (I don't believe the Malaysia Airline was taken in this fashion, but will keep this as an option until I have evidence in favor of any explanation.)

Here is a well-documented case in 1982 where a private plane pilot reported a UFO near him for over 4 minutes on transcript before he and his plane both vanished, never to be seen again.

This is the actual aviation transcript:
