Your weight actually sounds about right(or at least close) for a woman that is your height, providing you dont have a very small frame.. I'd suggest a weight/strength training regimen..Women respond very well to weight training, and unlike what most women believe will happen, they wont get all jacked and pumped up...Problem upper arms are an issue for some women, but most usually respond well to weight training.. You can't spot lose weight but sure can tone up. A bit of weight loss will take some off the arms. Other than that, strength exercises. Just a note. Get a second opinion on your arms. We often obsess on a body part when somebody else might go...'huh'? Also, get that second opinion from a 'fit' female...not somebody out of shape. You can't control your body's fat distribution. If you think your arms look 'fat' but the rest of you is rather slim, then that 'fat' won't go away. Link to post Share on other sites

They read about the latest fad diet, try it for a few days and then complain diets don't work because they go back to their old habits after losing weight and regain the weight. I am always worried about bulking up, but then I look at some women who clearly workout and I don't think it looks so bad. Maybe ill give it a go and if I don't like it then ill stop. It puzzles me why so many women think that the minute they lay hands on a barbell that they will look like a 70's era Soviet woman powerlifter..I dont get it.. Sure, Ill bet that Serena Williams would get pretty beefy if she hit the weights seriously , but she is not the norm.. Do Tracy Anderson's workouts. She is known for keeping women smaller but toned which is why the stars love her. She has many DVDs and her programs are designed for different body types. I've been going to the gym since high school. Have always been well toned. My boyfriend loves my body but jokes that I have the strength of a wet spaghetti noodle. Few women put on much muscle. We tend to emphasize the good curves by working out. A taught body also helps put a youthful spring in your step and adds elegance to your posture. Link to post Share on other sites

Do you currently belong to a gym? TFY Excellent advice. Hit the weights. You won't turn into a gorilla (bulk), that is a myth. Get medium heavy dumbbells, a pullup bar, and do body weight exercises. You may not lose much weight (and you shouldn't), because you will develop muscles that tone your body. Link to post Share on other sites
