Lipitor11
Awhile back I got highlights in my hair, so when I went to work, alot of the other co-workers were complimenting me on how much they liked my hair, so my co-worker/friend was telling the other co-worker that gave me the compliment how she thought it was a "waste of money" to go to the salon and for a woman to get her hair colored, etc, etc. I'm like WTH? I just thought that was totally uncalled for, I know for a fact that my so-called friend lives on a tight budget, can't afford nice clothes and doesn't have money to spend on a smart phone. She probably thinks people who have smartphones are wasting their money, because she can't afford it. I only spent like $50 on my hair, its not like I spend thousands of dollars on it. I think she's just jealous, heck I think women who spend $100 on a pair of jeans is a waste, but then again I can't afford to spend that much on jeans. See what I'm saying? Was she being rude or am I being too sensitive?
preraph
She was just expressing her view on spending money on cosmetic unnecessary things. It wasn't directed at you personally, just her current stance on the subject. It probably never crossed her mind you'd be insulted because SHE doesn't choose to spend money on cosmetic things like that. And p.s. -- a SmartPhone isn't necessary. C'mon. Some people need them; some don't. They're strictly a luxury item. There's an old saying that the measure of a person isn't what they can accumulate but what they can live without.
d0nnivain
A little of both. She's entitled to her opinion & you're entitled to spend your money however you want. Agree to disagree. Don't call her out on it but learn to ignore her opinions on certain subjects.
