GreenCap Posted January 18, 2005 Share Posted January 18, 2005 I wanted to raise this topic as during my recovery period (still somewhat going through it due recent news about my ex dating her boss' boss) I looked into astrology to get some guidance, in a way, get a confidence boost. While no one reading provided much consistency in terms of my relationship prospects, my match with my ex, the central theme was that we do in fact compliment each other etc. So I was wondering whether anyone had success with using astrology in their relationships and how true where they? moimeme Posted January 18, 2005 Share Posted January 18, 2005 Well, the charts say that I'm supposed to have disasters with Virgos (yet I kept going out with them) and Scorpios (again- duh). I'm supposed to be successful with Aquarius (that mostly was), Gemini (well, maybe if he wasn't an alcoholic abuser) and Libra - haven't tried one of them out yet but I'm willing to give it a shot since it's supposed to be my best match. chica Posted January 18, 2005 Share Posted January 18, 2005 The short answer is YES. Astrology is often misunderstood - largely because of the over-emphasis of "Sun" signs and horoscopes. At the precise time you are born each of the planets in our solar system were in a different area in the sky - namely in different zodiac signs or areas. So you don't just have a Sun or Star sign.... you also have a moon sign, a rising sign and venus mars jupiter etc were all in different spots too. This is calculated by the longditude and latitude to each of these planets to the EXACT point on Earth you were born. So your relationships are affected by all the positions, not just your Sun. The Sun, Moon and Rising (or ascendant) positions are most definitive though. i.e. I am a Leo, my bf is a Libra - already this is good - fire and air. Sun relates to how you are on the inside - you inner self. My rising is Virgo, his is Pisces - these are opposite - challenging, but much to learn from one another if balance can be achieved. Earth and water, one more practical the other more creative. Ascendant relates to how you appear to others, or your outer self. My moon is Scorpio, his Capricorn - and the moon relates to emotions; we are serious and intense, emotional and secretive or private at the same time. It said that she will start a relationship with her boss in January although I believe that this started long before as I recalled that she was mad when I sent flowers to her office a week after she moved out. Don't know whether I will actually spend money doing a reading plus I don't know her birth time which sucks coz it will make a reading much more in depth. I don't know why I can't get this out of my head - hopefully I will be able to enjoy my vacation in two weeks time. Sigh...never wanted to be a cynic but life pushes me that direction.
