Philosoraptor
How it's cooked and the cheap ingredients are the issue. Buy meat straight from a butcher and use home grown fruits and veggies and you'll have a much healthier burger. But you can't keep prices that low if you're using quality ingredients, which is why fast food restaurants use crap. Burgers are great, but not so great for you at a fast food restaurant. Candy_Pants
Next time you go to burger king get two burgers. One to eat and one to save. Put it out on a plate. Leave it there for a week. Note changes, if any. Normal healthy food would rot in a week after being exposed to the "elements". Excluding certain raw fruits and vegetables. Do you think it's a mystery why Americans are generally overweight?? We consume junk food which can outlive us. Therefore we are preserving our own fat cells and poisoning our bodies. Do you prefer the taste of a Burger King hamburger over a homemade hamburger? If so, it might have something to do with the fact that it isn't necessarily meat that you're eating, but rather chemicals engineered to taste good.
thefooloftheyear
In a pinch, it wont kill you, but if you eat it day in and day out, it will start to really affect your well being -and waistline.. You're better off going to a deli and getting a roast beef sandwich with a premium brand of meat. It might cost a dollar or two more, but at least you wont worry about "mystery meat" rotting your gut.. TFY

If it only was so simple . Fast-food is loaded with preservatives, additives, and artificial flavors. - Propylene Glycol - TBHQ (5 Gr. is fatal) - Trans fats - Dimethylpolysiloxane (silicone) - Sodium Nitrite (cancer anyone?) - MSG's Sounds delicious! 2 please, hold the mayo! Another revelation from the fast food world: Subway Restaurants to Remove Chemical From Bread ? WebMD Yes, Subway eat fresh, maybe? It is up to one's own preferences, some people smoke or drink, some people eat fast food, and some may do 'm all. Live and let live I say, but let's be truthful about what we're actually doing here .
