Hi there Loveshackers. So, I'm not one to jump onto the diet pill bandwagon. I've been trying to shed some pounds over the past 6 months or so, and although I lost maybe 10lbs or so...the other 10 just don't seem to be going anywhere. I do a combo of walking/jogging for 25 mins, anywhere from 3-5 days a week. I've been doing this routine for 2 1/2 weeks now and honestly don't notice much of a difference. maybe another pound was shed, but nothing spectacular. Not to mention that I loathe jogging. LOATHE. It takes every ounce of energy to just get up the want to get out 'n jog. We've got an active dog, which I do suppose helps push me out the door, but nevertheless...jogging just isn't my thing, however I will continue to do it. I've also tried lowering my calorie intake by 300-500 a day. Some days I surpass this, other days...not so much :o

Having said all of that....does anyone have any success stories with diet pills? I'm staying away from that Hydroxy cut crap, so definitely looking for a more natural (as natural as they can be at least ) type of supplement. I DID try this Svetol Green Tea extra which did aaaabsolutely nothing

Huge waste of money.

Weight isn't always the best way to measure fat loss

If you start doing high intensity cardio you will burn more fat. Your body has probably adapted to the walking and jogging and your routine.

Do sprints for 30 seconds and a minute rest for about 20 minutes. When I say sprint, I mean sprint! As fast as you can, you will only be cheating yourself.

OK.....here it is and this is just my opinion based on what you've told us.

First...there is no magic pill, you have to put into it what ayou are hoping to get out of it i.e. efforts

The 10lbs that came off you is very common, that is just excess water.

You say you walk / jogg...you are not going to burn a heck of a lot of calories that way in a very efficient manner. Yes running sucks for some people, but if you know it's not "your thing" then logic will dictate that you reduce your calorie intake, as you are not exercising much to burn the excess glycogen that is being produced from the Glucose from sugar and carbs.

Take Note:

Let's say you do cardio for 30 minutes. The percentage of fat calories burned is higher at lower intensity but the absolute ( or total ) number of fat calories burned is usually greater at higher intensity. So if you're trying to lose weight, it's the total number of calories you have to focus on.

If you do 30 minutes light exercise that burns 250 calories. , you might for example burn 40% of your calories from fat and 60% from carbohydrates- say 100 calories come from fat.

Now, if you go harder ( in the same 30 minutes ) say you burn 500 calories in 30 minutes, it might be 25% of the burn comes from fat, 75% from carbs. As a % , fewer calories come from fat, but now a 25% burn is 125 fat calories vs 100 calories in 30 minutes.......the absolute ( or total ) number of fat calories burned is usually greater at higher intensity.

Simply put, going hard vs going easy in 30 minutes just creates a larger calorie deficit

As well as my 10km run today, I also did 10 x 100m sprints on the indoor track...and people probably thought I was showing off, but the sweat dripping off me says otherwise. Mind you...I come from this background, so it's a way of life for me now even in my 40s.

When I do my marathons, I usually spring the last 1km...if you are in my way, you better get the hell out :D

****There is no magic pill, however I take CLA 2 tabs 3 times a day (it helps burn fat with exercise). I also take Green tea tablet (300mg) with 2 x200mg caffeine tabs as well as drinking apple cider vinegar

You can't lose weight just exercising unless you are training for the Olympics. Keep track of your food and subtract 500 calories per day from your daily total. You will lose one pound per week. If you exercise in addition to dieting, you will lose two pounds.

There is no easy way even if you are rich or a movie star. We all have to suffer! :bunny:

Jogging won't do ANYTHING if your diet is atrocious. Eat clean and eat less....THEN jog. Pounds will melt off.

No pill on this planet will make losing fat easy.
